The hotel itself was nice and clean. It, however, does not have laundry like it says in the amenities section. It is also not in a great part of town as when you walk there from the acropolis, there is the chance to encounter homeless people and discarded needles on the streets. If you are planning to take a cab to the attractions, then this is a good spot. If not, then I would consider other hotels.
It was a very nice hotel. The location is said to be an unsafe area in guidebooks, but I was relieved that I could enter it from a large street and that police cars were well stationed in the church just in front of me. (it is certain that the atmosphere is bad compared to the downtown, and you need to be careful after the sun falls)
It is also convenient to be close to the National Archaeological Museum.
The room is clean and comfortable. Especially the view of the terrace lounge on the top floor is great, and the Parthenon Temple looks beautiful.
Breakfast is buffet and relatively simple.
Amenities are not toothbrushes, so it is recommended to wait.

Everyone was super helpful and friendly, amenities were super clean and the vibe was cool. I must say it’s one of the best hostels I’ve stayed in.
The pool was a great plus for a summer day in Athens, loved it!
Nice hotel good view reasonable breakfast. Is convenient access to all the restaurants. People surrounding friendly n generous. Will recommend to all friends n relatives
Hotel itself is decent, i expected a bit more for the price. It is fairly clean and cozy, but very basic. Shower has no sliding door or curtain, so the floor is covered in water after every shower. One morning there was no hot water. Also, there noise coming from the pipes is extremely loud. Everytime the upstairs floors flushed the toilet, it sounded like a bunch of rocks being dropped down the pipes, and it woke me up in the mornings.
Service was okay, friendly and extremely fast check-in/out.
The main issue is the location. Although it is near a central spot, and good walking distance from many attractions, but the street itself is a disaster. There are homeless ************ outside directly in front of the hotel, ***** ***** all night. It is definitely not safe to walk alone at night. If safety is a concern, i cannot recommend staying at this hotel.
Besides that, the stay itself is fairly comfortable.
The hotel is close to metro stations and very close to the O51 bus route. It is in an area of Athens with its problems but that is no fault of the hotel. It is within easy walking distance of the shops and restaurants. The room was clean and tidy. The staff were pleasant and efficient. Check-In took less than one minute and check-out took seconds. Because it is only a three star hotel, the tourist tax is only three euros. The breakfast was buffet style and there was plenty of everything. There was a very wide selection of food.

Lovely clean hotel, with very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast choice is excellent and the location is ideal not far from the very centre of Athens and near to Omonia metro station. The picture is the view from the rooftop of the hotel.
Absolutely brilliant hotel. Our second stay here, we will always book this hotel whenever we visit Athens. It has everything we need and is in a brilliant location. Just a short walk to everything. The staff are super-friendly and the breakfast is simple but delicious. We really couldn't ask for anything more, especially at such a great price.
This hotel was conveniently located less than a block away from the subway station. The receptionist was amazing. She really helped me to have a pleasant stay while in Athens. The room is a bit outdated but it was clean and fit my needs. I would recommend to anyone. Very close (1.5 miles) to the main attractions such as Acropolis and many museums. Several restaurants and shopping in the area. Great stay!

DDean MauriceThis was a great stay for us and our family. The hotel is conveniently located near many popular sights and eateries in Athens and most were within a 10-20 minute walk. The nearby Monastiraki metro station made it easy to get to and from the airport as well.
The rooms are nicely appointed with a couple of chairs, work station, coffee/tea station, closet, mini fridge and TV. The beds were small but comfy enough. Our family had a 2 and 3 bed rooms and we found the 2 bed room was a lot more spacious. The bathrooms in both were small but we appreciated that the hot water came on quickly and there was a small window for ventilation. Our room was quiet at night but our family noted street noise on the lower floors. The elevators were often tricky to catch as they are small but we appreciated it when we didn't feel like the climb to the sixth floor.
The amenities at the hotel were good for the price. The roof top patio and bar area was a highlight and we enjoyed a couple of afternoons up here watching the sun set and the lights turn on at the Acropolis. The prices of the bar were inexpensive and they had a good variety of options. There was a sitting room that had tea and coffee midday and they kept it open in the evening so we were able to sit together and talk. They had laundry service, baggage storage and could help arrange tours or car hires as well at the front desk with their friendly and welcoming staff.
The breakfast at this hotel was very good for the price. They had something for everyone and lots of place to sit. Highlights for us were the Greek yoghurt and the spinach and feta stuffed pastries. They also had mini sausages, bacon, scrambled eggs, feta cheese, cucumber, tomatoes, breads, baklava, croissants, dried fruits, fresh fruits, juices and a coffee machine. We looked forward to breakfast each morning.
The hotel provided a good base for exploring and was centrally located. We would say if you're looking to save money and have a good breakfast to start your day in Athens this hotel is a good choice.
MMarianthiaFirst of all shout out to the cleaning ladies they did a great job cleaning my room everyday and I know their work is pretty hard. Second the people at the reception are lovely and kind, very helpful when asking questions and very nice to talk to. The room was even bigger than the pictures I loved it and felt so comfortable. Also nice that they have Netflix!!!
Pame wild will be my go to hotel when I visit Athens again!!
SShobyThat hotel can easily be the best hotel in the area if they paid more attention to the renovation issue.. The place is well located and nice old classic design..
Staff are very helpful and breakfast was ok too..
They can't be blamed about few homeless people around as it's like that everywhere around that area.
TTravelwithjessieeI’m a solo traveller and I stayed here on my first trip to Athens. I wanted to be central to the attractions. The location was amazing!
It is right on Monastiaki square where you can take the metro to and from the airport making it easy to get to! You can also use theirs to get around Athens! Low cost and easy to use!
You can see the Acropolis right from the square! There are also lots of lovely restaurants and coffee shops around this area too!
On arriving at the hotel the reception staff were very warm and welcoming. They helped me to arrange transportations and offered to prepare a takeaway breakfast bag for my early check out which was very kind!
The room itself was quite large and clean with all of the amenities that you may need. The shower was hot which was good! The downside to the room is that it is very noisy from the outside due to it being on the square. It can get busy at nighttime, however I did expect this due to its location. I came prepared and brought earplugs to sleep in which did the trick!
The breakfast is served in the rooftop bar. Plenty of choice and delicious pastries each day. Hot and cold options available which was nice! The views from here are amazing! You can sell all around you and have a view of the Acropolis as you enjoy your breakfast! Wow!
Photos attached of the view from breakfast at the hotel rooftop and the square!
I would recommend this hotel to stay on if you are wanting to be in the centre of Athens! Everything was accessible and the staff was always happy to help!
Thank you so much for being so lovely during my stay!
I would come back again! 😊
GGuest UserGreat location as all main tourist sites (including Kerameikos and Filopappou Hill) were walkable - also outside the main tourist area, which was a plus. Roof terrace also pleasant at the end of the day.
Hotel facilities are limited: WiFi, internet tv only (on mine you had to log in with your own details), aircon, tea/coffee, free bottled water. Cold breakfast option (set price of €10 - not €8 as shown on the website). Airport pick-up is now also €50 (more than shown currently on website).
Rooms modern but.mine was starting to look slightly tired. In theory it was a ‘suite’ suitable for four (two small rooms) but this would have been extremely cramped, particularly as each room had only a ‘space saver’ type wardrobe ie. wardrobe rail coming out from the wall with a mirror in front and no other storage and a sofa bed in the ‘living room’.
Despite the website description of each room with (only) a power shower, mine had a shower over the bath.
Service was average: front desk tried to be helpful but local knowledge was lacking. Bed was made each day, but tea/coffee/water were not refreshed and used glasses and mugs were not cleaned. Despite this, towels WERE refreshed daily and there was no option (card or other mechanism) to get this stopped. I was surprised: it seems that saving water and energy had passed the hotel by entirely.
In conclusion: compared to other prices and areas of Athens I paid a reasonable amount, but given the reviews had expected more from the hotel, although I couldn’t honestly say that it was bad, just ‘average’.
PPuay Teck OngThe exterior of the hotel look inviting; however when we walked through the front door you can feel the heavy curtain around the lobby have not been clean for long time. All the sofa in the lobby are covered with some sort of clothes I guess it is to cover the old and uninviting sight. The check in process was straight forward and friendly.
None of the light on the stairs are working and I had to use the flash light on my phone to light a path up and down the stairs, could be dangerous if you need to evacuate the hotel quickly.
The room door has key card slot but I guess it is broken as I needed a physical key to unlock the room door and a keycard to turn on the electricity, the room size is good and high ceiling. The bathroom has no hook for the handheld shower head so not so convenient to have a shower, the water also not always hot enough.
The air conditioner was blowing warm air even though the dial was set to cold and it made the room so more warmer and uncomfortable to sleep. The hotel reviews seem to suggest this is one of the common issue people has been complaining about for more than 10 years!!!! I ended up open all the windows to cool the room down and this invited traffic noise all night long.
The hotel has been neglected for way too many years and surprisingly still in business????
RRachanaFirst of all, the hotel staff are so nice incl. receptionists, breakfast lady, room attendants, etc. They all smile at you and greet you, very polite and helpful. We also booked 1 triple room for 3 adults but they gave us 2 double rooms with the same price of course although they had to move us to ground floor the 2nd day due to some electrical defaults in one of the rooms as it was newly renovated, which didnt bother us at all. We happily moved. Also free water bottles in the fridge included, all the necessary amenities were there, no kettle to boil water or cups for hot drinks were provided in the room but if you ask them, hot water provided at the hotel reception 24/7 also free tea, coffee and hot water for all guests provided from 3-9pm! Rooms were decent sized with comfy and clean beds, daily room service, breakfast was good and plenty and included in the room price, so cant complain! More hot food options would have been nice but it was continental which still was adequate. 5/5 stars
GGuest UserUnfortunately this hotel was a complete nightmare, I arrived with serious eye infection and got no understanding or help from the staff. Noone helped me getting to the hospital. Then I even got a horrible room that was noisy, and NO window that could be opened. While complaining to the manager the next day I got even treated worse making up lies that I was yelling to the staff, which is NOT TRUE. I was just in pain asking for a better room or better service. Oh also they recommended the parking space for my super expensive car claiming its SAFE to leave them my car keys. I asked twice if this is really safe as my complete luggage is still in the car. When I went there to get my luggage out, the car was open!!! with the key inside. In the middle of Athens and noone there even from this parking team. like a complete fail on sooo many levels. The heating system is always on in the rooms making huge noise, also the pool downstairs has crazy machines making the whole night sounds. I am so happy I found another beautiful hotel around the corner quiet and excellent service!!!! Just dont stay there, its not good. Even the pool area is a joke and no jacuzzi in winter on the roof, they are not worth any visit!
GGuest UserStaff was very attentive and responded in a very professional and efficient manner. They resolved all problems and were very gracious. Beautiful roof top restaurant with a wonderful pool.
The only issue we had was that the shower head in our bathroom was in the middle of the shower therefore sprinkling water against the curtain and leaking into the bathroom….a simple fix.
