Renfe Disabled People Fare
Disabled passengers can benefit from Renfe's discounts, with savings of up to 40%. For just €6, you can get a Tarjeta Dorada, which allows you to travel on AVE, Avant, and Cercanías trains for a year. The discount on Avant trains is greater during weekends. Refunds or changes to tickets are subject to the type of ticket and may incur a fee.
Renfe Children Fare
Renfe offers a 40% discount on ticket prices for children aged 4 to 13. These children are allowed to select seats on AVE, AVE International, and Avant trains, and they can make changes or request refunds based on the ticket type, which may involve a fee. Children under four travel for free but do not receive a reserved seat. On Cercanías trains, children under six can travel for free without a reserved seat.
Renfe Spanish Large Families Fare
Large families traveling with Renfe in Spain can benefit from 20% discounts for general category families and 50% for special category families on most train services, including AVE and Larga Distancia. These offers exclude AVE International, Avant, and Cercanías services. With the Más Renfe Joven Card, which costs €50, Renfe offers up to 30% off train fares for young people aged 14 to 25. This card is valid for a year and is non-transferable. Enjoy a 30% discount on AVE and AVE international trains, and get a 25% discount on Avant, Cercanías, and Rodalies trains.
