The inner edge of the crater overlaps with Lake Batur, and a 700-meter-high composite volcano stands in the center. It has a long history of eruption. In 1926, it erupted for 6 consecutive months, which had a huge impact on the surrounding areas. It also erupted in 1999-2000 and is still active today. The natural landscape here is magnificent and charming. The mysterious blue flames can be seen at night. In the early morning, you can enjoy the shocking sunrise wonders when you climb to the top. Lake Batur is clear and quiet, which contrasts with the volcanic landform.
