This restaurant was great. We have been traveling and craving Mexican food like we get in California. The food was delicious and very authentic to Mexican food like home. The portion was generous with very fresh ingredients. The service was friendly and they were happy to suggest favorites. Loved the interiors and cool vibe with a live DJ. Plus sitting on the second floor overlooking King Wharf was beautiful at sunset. If we lived in Sydney, this would be a favorite spot for us.
Great restaurant in a perfect location. A good menu for sharing, portions could actually be a bit smaller when sharing for 2 or 3 people as we felt like there was a bit of wastage, especially the dip, maybe a choice of either one regular size or three smaller sizes of the three dips together. And yes I’ll be coming back in a few weeks.
This place is simply amazing. The food is of the highest quality, everything was delicious. The vibe is so pleasant, DJs is always playing the best music that compliments the venue. Finally, the service is second to none, everyone is so friendly and helpful.
Alegre Bar and Dining, overlooking the water, provide my wife (53) and myself (55) with a wonderful dining experience. The servers were friendly and attentive throughout the night. The food, the oven grilled halloumi, the kingfish ceviche, Mayan spiced prawns, bbq’d octopus, rhubarb tart & Mexican styled Eton mess were delicious. The margaritas and mescal also hit the spot. The only criticism, and it is a very small one, is the ambient music was a little bit too loud, making conversation a little difficult - maybe I am getting old.
