Food was terrific and exceeded our expectations.  Service was lumpy.  Our server was not as attentive as he should have been.  Ambiance was fine.  A very good and not overpowering wine list.

Our dinner at Le Cheval Noir was one of the most memorable dinners we had in our time in France! From the consistency in quality of the food to the outstanding service and advice regarding wine paring, we could not have asked for more. We cannot recommend this establishment any more highly and will certainly return.

I ate raw seafood for a few days in a row. This time I ordered seafood pasta to cushion my stomach. The seafood inside was still very large.

Quite fantastic food, lovely ambience, great service. We cannot wait to return  - has to be one of the best restaurants we have been to and that includes many Michelin stared places.
