The Old Fire Station

Our first time out since the covid lockdown. We felt really safe with covid secure measures in place, the food was excellent and they made every effort to give us a great evening. Would definitely recommend.

The food is very good, all authentic, reasonably priced. The staff very friendly and helpful, they know their food and can recommend it without fault.

Lovely restaurant with great Persian food. The menu is quite small - but that is a good thing because everything was cooked to order and was fresh. The vegetarian menu is however limited to one thing - (halloumi skewered with roast vegetables) - so lets hope you like halloumi and roast vegetables! My dish was tasty and fresh tasting - but was dry. The staff were very friendly and were completely responsive to us - when we wanted more time to order, re our preference for music (see below), drinks, our queries about the food etc This is a large venue and we went when we were the only diners there (about 7pm) which meant the place felt empty and lacking in atmosphere. The staff put on some music (loud 1980's pop) which didn't work for us at all but to their credit they were responsive and turned it off (later putting on some lower volume muzac which was so in the background it was actually better!). The cocktails are potent and I suffered for a couple of days afterwards! Beware!

We came here from a recommendation from a local hotel. It was very quiet for a Friday night. The service was very friendly. The food was fresh and and tasty. The fresh naan was delicious as part of my starter. My husband had the lime and chilli prawns. These were delicious. For his main my husband had the lamb and bean casserole. A few more pieces of lamb would have been nice. This did not stop him eating it all though. It really is in an old fire station too. A good start to our weekend away. Thank you
