Shanghai Brugge

Shanghai Brugge, this is a local Shanghainese restaurant with strong characteristics. The rich red sauce recipe is also my favorite. My favorite is their wine-flavored stir-fried head. The biggest feature is that it is generous in portion and economical.

I found a restaurant online, and its name also has "Shanghai" in it. I must go there to eat. The environment inside the restaurant feels a bit like the last century, but it is still clean. There is a simplified Chinese menu, and the names of the dishes on it are so simple and crude that I laughed out loud. After ordering, I heard the boss lady speaking Shanghainese to someone in the kitchen. After a chat, the boss lady said that she has been in Belgium for more than 20 years, and her home in Shanghai is actually very close to my home. I ordered wonton soup, hot and sour soup, spring rolls, stir-fried vegetables and fried rice. I was curious why there was squid in the dishes and rice. The dishes were very large and tasted very homely, but it also made us taste a bit strange in Bruges.
