Chickpea mud with chili oil and crispy chickpeas with buns is fantastic, and fried shrimp and salmon are also very generous.

Was really disappointed at how the atmosphere and food quality had fallen since last been.  The staff seemed to find us an inconvenience though started smiling when it came near time to paying .  Food was sadly nothing to write hone about apart from the fact it was extremely over priced.

Tiny tables and chairs

We were in Cambridge for the weekend and wanted a quiet pint without lots of sports.  This is a fantastic little pub with a great selection of beer and cider. 

A hidden gem of a pub. 

It’s a nice venue with some decent beers. We were peckish so opted for some of the “larger plates” offerings. I had the chicken thigh jalapeño kebab which was tasty but disappointing. There were 3 bits of marinated dry chicken. Hugely overcooked and I guess that one whole thigh would yield more than one portion. For £20 I would expect a lot more from the section titled “larger plates” I wonder what the smaller plates are like? That said I do like the venue and the service was good but overall I feel that it’s very poor value for money. It’s not somewhere I would return to I am afraid to say

Nice place, tiny portions, poor value

The food was mostly fairly good, but not brilliant, and maybe not good enough value for the price. We had croquettas and prawn/calamari as a starter. The croquettas were fine, and served with a lovely pickle and red pepper hummus. The “crispy prawn and calamari” had one prawn and the rest was calamari, but were well made and presented with a nice dip. My chicken schnitzel was nice, if maybe a little under-seasoned and served with half a gem lettuce draped in what was billed as Caesar salad sauce, but I could hardly taste any garlic, mustard, or anchovy. It was just creamy and a bit sickly. However, the most unpleasant part was my wife’s spicy chicken thigh kebab, which had been marinated in far too much salt and was almost inedible. Altogether not really acceptable at these prices (£10 for each starter and £20+ for each main).  The service was good and the beer was well-kept.

The hummus with chilli oil and crispy chickpeas on flatbread was fantastic, and the fried shrimp and calamari were very generous portions.

Delicious Sunday roasts and an interesting selection of rums. The starters were great also (croquettes and chicken wings).

The steak here is delicious. Come at noon. There is a lunch discount package. Sometimes two dishes are only more than 10 pounds. It is very cost-effective and recommended to everyone. There are two stores in Cambridge, one behind ST JOHNS, one is easier to find, opposite KINGS COLLEGE.

A cafe that is not particularly big, but the decoration is very particular, especially the layout, so the atmosphere is very good, drinking coffee and chatting, very good, the price is not very expensive, a bit aftertaste.

We booked the fork menu online with the booking altho it created some confusion in the restaurant as they didn&#39;t know what it was. They concluded it was their set menu but at a cheaper price. Food was really good. Excellent value. Had some difficulty in how to put the reduced price through the till. But managed it eventually.
