It takes some determination to eat seafood in Australia, where prices are so high. In fact, many seafood ingredients eaten in China are of Australian origin, so you must eat it here. It must not be cooked in Chinese style. It is very fresh and delicious.

We love it here - Good selection of Australian water fish and tasty chippies- so happy to indulge anytime of the week. Always have a few Sydney rock oysters to start @ $16 cheap as chips ! Hahaha thanks SeaCow
Stopped off here for dinner after checking their opening hours on the door for a public holiday earlier in the day. I'd been looking forward to fish and chips with a nice glass of white all afternoon - and it did not disappoint, although in the most surprising way. When I arrived half an hour before their close, after a busy work afternoon, the kitchen was obviously in the process of closing up. But a very helpful and pleasant staff member came out and took the time to answer my query about their opening hours, saying that it had been less busy than expected and they were closing due to costs. (Everyone leaves this part of Sydney at this hot time of the year for their own holidays, I reckon!) While I was disappointed, their explanation made perfect sense - and then when the staff member asked what I had planned to order (just good old battered F&C for a hot public holiday treat!) he arranged for it to be prepared as a takeout, against my protestations, as the grill/fryer were not yet turned off and there was still one table left to finish up. It took just five or ten minutes for my fresh meal to come out, was reasonably priced, and I enjoyed the wonderful taste of crisp fried (not oily) fish and crunchy thick chips back in the courtyard of my residence, as the sun went down, with a requisite glass of white! For service and staff welcome alone, it's recommended to try this place out for simple, easy seafood dishes if you are in this part of town. And from the constant crowds I saw here dining outside and in - and also for takeout - over the next few days while I was in the area, it's already earned its reputation with the locals. Based on this experience, I'll also be checking out their sister Balmain shop when working in that area too.
