Morning Magpie

Close to the historic train station and city center, the decor of this cafe is eclectic and charming. We stopped in twice in a row, first for coffee and then for lunch. Friendly service, wonderful cheese scones, excellent coffee

It was still early to catch the sightseeing train at the train station, so I stopped by for breakfast. It's very close to the station, just cross the road. The shop is decorated in a simple style, with some old things and pictures as decoration, which feels very artistic. I ordered a burger, which tasted good after heating it up. The brownie cake was moderately sweet, and the espresso was very strong. It cost 7-8 New Zealand dollars per person, which was good.
