What travelers say:
This is a bar. I think it's pretty good. The Scotch whisky inside is delicious, and the beer is also good. Chinese people have no problem drinking in the UK. Drinking good whisky and then some beer.

We enjoyed the 6 course Scottish tasting menu. A wonderful way to experience Scottish cuisine! Great food, great service!
It didn't look like much from outside, but the Cellar door deserved it position at the top of the restaurants list for Edinbugh. Really friendly staff, top qulity food, and a great menu with some delectable options for the epicurean.
It was my partners birthday last night so I had booked The Cellar Door as a surprise. They were very accommodating as we showed up early and they still sat us. We chose the 6 course tasting menu with wine pairing which was great value for money. The lovely server explained each wine and course in great detail with enthusiasm. I don’t eat Venison so they swapped it for the smoked haddock risotto. The whole meal was very filling and tasty. My partner has mentioned he wished with the venison you were given slightly more as he had one potato cut in half but overall, everything was great.
Fabulous little restaurant, would highly recommend. We chose the tasting menu which was very suitably adapted for my wife's gluten intolerance. Service was excellent, ambience and atmosphere was great. Will definitely go again when in Edinburgh
