Excellent lunch with my daughter, son-in-law and their two children (6 & 3). Good menu choice, both adults and children's, well prepared and presented food.
El Pla has a good set menu offering several local choices for a very reasonable price. The a la carte menu offers a wide range of options for just a few euros more. The restaurant has a great atmosphere and the round tables make conversation easier. Good service from the staff who spoke better English than I could speak Spanish. Definitely on my list to return to soon.
We’ve been visiting el pla for over 20 years and it’s still great lovely food atmosphere and friendly staff
Excellent food quality at good prices. Was unfortunately very quiet when we visited, both in terms of how few people were there (one other table when we arrived) and sound level. Rather church-like. Would have benefited greatly from some music.
Went for Sunday Lunch. Masia style cooking in pleasant atmosphere on the outskirts of Palamos. Sunday in August so it was crowded, but not oppressively so. Tables well spaced and acres of space in the restaurant which is air conditioned; cool and comfortable. Ordered grilled asparagus to start, followed by grilled bream which came accompanied with……..grilled asparagus. On request they speedily replaced the accompaniment with samfaina and delicious local tomatoes. Tiramisu for pudding was well made. Service, despite the place being full ( with long queues on the terrace awaiting tables), was exemplary. Top marks for an efficient, courteous staff! Ten minutes from where I live in Palamos, but a hidden gem. Fine dining it isn’t, but decent, well cooked meal in ambient surroundings, most definitely. A little oasis just off the C31 to Palafrugel.
