Houtou Fudou(Kawaguchikokita Honten)

This shop is very historic and has been in business for generations. It is a ramen shop. Udon noodles are the main dish. Vegetable noodles are recommended. The taste is really good. Other dishes like tonkotsu noodles and miso noodles are also good.

It's a big store with a really nice environment, spacious and with a Japanese atmosphere. Each of us ordered a bowl of noodles. The bowl used for the signature noodles is quite special, and the portion is super large. Although it is all vegetarian, it still makes me feel very full and tastes good.

This restaurant has a lot of customers. The noodles here are very similar to the hot soup hand-rolled noodles we eat in the winter in Northeast China. The two of us don't have a big appetite. We ordered one. It was just enough. The taste was good and the noodles were very chewy.

The so-called houtou is a bit similar to my country's Northeastern stew. Except for pumpkin and noodles, the rest can be prepared according to the chef's preference. The quantity is also relatively large. For girls, one portion is enough for two people.

This restaurant is an antique building with hundreds of years of history. You have to wait for the food to be served after ordering. The noodles are chewier than the sliced ​​noodles we often eat in Taiwan. The soup is rich miso soup. Very delicious. We visited in April when the wind was a little chilly, but after eating, we were sweating and satisfied. This is a must-try old restaurant.
