The Hong Kong Stadium is commonly known as "Putou" by the locals. It was formerly the Government Stadium. It was rebuilt and opened in March 1994. It can accommodate up to 40,000 people. If more seats are added, the number of seats can reach 58,000. It is currently a very large outdoor multi-purpose recreational venue.
