Located in Yau Mei Tei, Temple Street is a short thoroughfare well-known as a popular local shopping street. Demarcated on each end with traditional Chinese gates, Temple Street buzzes with actively, particularly after dark. The street still retains the feel of an authentic Hong Kong from yesteryear. With many shops and restaurants lining the road, it is a good place to visit for a bite to eat. By far however, Temple Street is most famous for the Temple Street Night Market, a nightly open-air street market popular with locals and foreigners alike. All manner of wares are on display and it's fun to bargain with shop owners for the perfect gift or souvenir.
