Wanfo Temple is located in Paitou Village opposite Shatin Railway Station. It was built by Master Yuexi in 1949 and completed in 1957. The monastery sits on the mountain and is divided into two groups of high and low buildings, with a total of 5 halls, 4 pavilions, 1 gallery and 1 tower. The temple enshrines tens of thousands of Buddha statues and the real body of the indestructible "Master Yuexi". One of the representative buildings, "Ten Thousand Buddha Pagoda", was also selected by HSBC as the printing pattern of HK$100. During the Lantern Festival on the 15th day of the first lunar month and the Buddha Bathing Festival on the 8th day of April, a dharma meeting will be held in the temple.
