The Hong Kong Monetary Authority, referred to as the HKMA, is headquartered on the 55th floor of Two International Finance Centre in Central. The HKMA Information Centre is set up in the headquarters and is open to the public free of charge, including the exhibition hall and the library. The exhibition hall mainly displays some coins and banknotes that have been circulated in Hong Kong and adjacent areas. There is a huge historical gallery on the wall of the exhibition hall, which introduces materials mainly on the development history of Hong Kong's currency and banking. The exhibition hall provides guided tours for visitors from Monday to Friday at 14:30 pm and Saturday at 10:30 am. The library houses detailed information on currency, banking and financial affairs in Hong Kong, as well as materials related to central banks around the world. The materials are not available for loan, and photography is not allowed in the library. Because it is located on the 55th floor of the International Financial Center, it is also an excellent location for a panoramic view of the whole island of Hong Kong.
