<div>The Serpent Column, also known as the Delphic Tripod or the Plataea Tripod, is an ancient bronze column located in the Hippodrome of Constantinople in Istanbul, Turkey. It was part of an ancient Greek tripod that was originally located in the Temple of Apollo in Delphi and was moved to Constantinople by Emperor Constantine in 324 AD. There were three snake heads on the top of the 8-meter-high column, which remained until the end of the 17th century. Parts of one of the snake heads are now on display in the nearby Istanbul Archaeological Museum. The Serpent Column attracts many tourists and history lovers for its exquisite carvings and long history.
