Mentes - Tapas Bar

Mentes tapas bar serves fantastic Portuguese style tapas dishes. The service was super friendly and professional. The atmosphere is cozy and we were seated at a large table which was great so you had lots of space to share all the tasty tapas. The beef strips with pepper sauce, the melted goat cheese, the home made tacos and the garlic prawns were all fantastic. The flavors are nicely balanced and the portions are perfect for sharing. We completed our meal with an exquisite chocolate petit gateau and a tasty lemoncake with ice cream. The gateau was the best we have tasted in a while, in fact it was so good we ended up ordering another extra gateau. A special compliment for the manager, she really made us feel very welcome and ensured everything ran very smoothly during our thoroughly enjoyable evening. I would definitely recommend visiting Mentes tapas and we will be coming back again soon.

We enjoyed our dinner at the restaurant. Service:The service was quick and very friendly and spoke perfect English. Drinks: We ordered a jar of sangria and it was truly delicious. I recommend trying their red sangria. Food:We have ordered several dishes to share. The food was served quickly and always a couple of dishes at a time. All dishes were delicious and well presented. We especially enjoyed the fried cuttlefish and the garlic shrimps. Ambience:We enjoyed the ambience in the restaurant a lot. It is not too large and the service was very personalized and forthcoming. The light is dimmed and there is nice background music. We will definitely come back to this restaurant, thank you for the lovely evening.

Despite its unassuming location, Mentes Tapas Bar is a gem not to be overlooked, offering a real culinary experience with exceptionally friendly staff and outstanding food that truly captured the essence of tapas cuisine. Every dish served was a delight, making it a must-visit for anyone seeking a memorable culinary journey.

Great little place owned by young a young married couple. The beef dish was outstanding, as was the sangria. Recommended….

It was a delicious tapas diner for our whole family. Agree that location is out of the touristic mainstream but it is absolutely worth taking a side route and eating there.
