The food and service were very good but they need to improve the concept to get more people because that produces an atmosphere which is what is lacking!Maybe some live musicians could help?

A relatively new place serving good food with a fine service. The ambiance was let down by the shortage of guests but hopefully in time that will be rectified. The views along the Algarvian coast and Monchique mountain range is stunning

An oasis of calm and elegance in a town full of touristy bars and restaurants.  Lovely setting with excellent food and service.  Highly recommend.

We tried this restaurant because it was a short walk from our Airbnb.  What a happy accident!   The food is stellar and, seemingly impossible&hellip;. The service was even better!  Phenomenal ocean views.  We were there off season but visited their roof dining area which offers one of the most panoramic views I&rsquo;ve ever seen.

Monte Mar is a gem of a restaurant in Lagos. The area is still being developed with new condos and homes. Monte Mar is the future of dining in Lagos with quality local food in a fine dining environment. The staff were extremely accommodating and made our time there extra special.

We visited pre show so only had an hour but the excellent food came quickly and we made our deadline. Loved the ambiance of the place too. Between us we had the burger and shrimp risotto and sea bass. All were fantastic! Highly recommended.

The complete experience, service great, food fantastic and the restaurant was full with people enjoying their meal. This was Sunday lunch 16th of March and it was raining cats &amp; dogs but inside it was great. Keep in mind you need to reserve.

Food was tasty and well presented as always. We both had the pork &amp; prawn skewers which were excellent, then a couple of very nice desserts from the display cabinet which the waiter took time out to explain and recommend for us.  All in all a great dining experience at very reasonable prices. We paid &euro;52 for a small sharing starter, mains, desserts and two drinks each. It&#39;s a little bit out of the centre but well worth the effort.

The nice combo of a mel&atilde;o town familiar feeling , sort of &ldquo;we know each &ldquo;other combined with the experimental kitchen with ambition but yet at affordable prices , in particular for the way menus.  The garden in summer is simply lovely.

Wonderful staff. Lovely views.  Excellent food.  Fair pricing.    Wasn&rsquo;t full so hard to measure the ambience but it was very pleasant.

We spent our first night in Lagos at Real Portuguese and it did not disappoint! We sat outside. The inside is lovely as well. Very quaint. In Old Town but out of the craziness and touristy areas. A more laid back, upscale experience. The service though a bit slow at times was welcoming and efficient. Food was excellent. I had the octopus and my husband had the filet mignon. Highly recommend!
