Delicious food!! It really surprised me with how good it was. The cocktails are delicious as well! Absolutely recommend.
Wasn't too sure what to expect as we walked out of the city centre and into a grim suburb but, from the moment we arrived at Le Village, we knew it was a good choice. 10 tables on an enclosed, vine-covered terrasse, cosy, an appropriately intimate for a meal for two. Only one person - Sacha(?) - was in evidence waiting on tables but, despite this, the service was relaxed without being slow, he wasn't at all stressed or rushed (or at least didn't appear to be!), and nothing seemed to be too much trouble for him. Bissap, couple of beers, delicious planche tropicale to start, followed by mafé poulet and gombo sauté - 35,75€ (Inc. 50% Fork discount).
The food was incredible and the staff is very accommodating. I believe the food was authentic and different. You will be able to try something I am sure you have never tried before. I will definitely be going again soon.
Amazing hearty food with a warm welcome from the hosts. Drinks recommendations were great and we would make another trip from abroad just to eat there again
