Tomato Portuguese Food

On the second day of Macau City Walk, I was ready to try authentic Portuguese food in Macau. After combining the recommendations on several apps, I fell in love with this low-key but well-known Tomato House. Actually, I knew nothing about Portuguese food. I flipped through the menu and chose a few things that I thought were delicious. After reading it, the waiter suggested that we directly choose the set meal, which would be more cost-effective. After thinking about it, I listened to her suggestion and ordered the 520 set meal. I have to say that the first time I ate Portuguese food in Macau, the feeling was still good. Their pork neck and octopus salad were really good, and the lobster seafood risotto was also very rich. The taste is hard to say because it varies from person to person, but I personally think it is acceptable. Although it is not cheap, it is also a good experience.

The fruit salad is also very fresh, and the soda is quite good, with a very fresh taste. It is especially thirst-quenching in such hot weather. The very famous sawdust pudding here is really a must-try. Compared with ordinary puddings, it is really much more delicious and smooth!

It is enough for two people to order a two-person set meal. The Portuguese curry is quite unique, and coconut milk is added to it. The taste of the curry is also very fragrant. The beef brisket is large and tasty. This is quite good.

The restaurant is divided into two dining areas. The tables are relatively small, but they are full of guests. We ordered fried cod with shredded potato (88 MOP), Portuguese curry sirloin with bread (78 MOP), lavender milk tea (18 MOP), sawdust pudding (22 MOP), and coke (11 MOP), a total of 217 MOP...

After reading the recommendations, I searched on Baidu and found that it was not far from the hotel, about 1 km. I took my husband and daughter and followed the navigation and actually found it... The restaurant is not very big, divided into the inner and outer rooms. We went early and there were not many people. We ordered the G set meal, added the recommended pork neck and drinks. The beef brisket curry, a big pot of curry, came with rice and three pork buns. My daughter ate half a bowl of rice and two slices of bread by herself and said it was delicious... The chicken chop, the chicken was very tender, and there was cheese. The pork neck was served with sweet and sour sauce, so delicious! The last sawdust pudding was also delicious... The three of us were so full! We used UnionPay card to pay the bill and the final amount was 266, what a bargain!

A local Portuguese tea restaurant that is delicious and cheap. You have to go through the residential area to find it. This restaurant is very popular and many locals and tourists come to eat. I strongly recommend the cheese baked rice series of this restaurant. The ordinary cheese rice is also very fragrant. Scoop up a spoonful and the thick cheese sauce can be stretched. It is really tempting and makes your mouth water.

Because my parents don't eat beef, we ordered pork neck, stir-fried vegetables, mashed potato soup, three sawdust puddings, and two servings of rice. UnionPay cards are accepted for orders over 200. We arrived early and didn't need to wait for a table, but there were already a lot of people. The taste was average, but the pudding was really delicious and it was chilled.
