Les Arcenaulx

This is a restaurant near the Old Port of Marseille. The layout inside and outside is a bit like a library, which is very unique. The environment is very good and the service is also very good. The food is very honest, large and delicious. Especially the Marseille fish soup, which contains five kinds of fresh fish. After drinking a bowl, I am basically full.

It seems very famous, but when I got there, I found that the decoration was indeed exquisite, but there were no customers... It took a long time to read the menu that was not easy to understand, and it took a long time to wait for the waiter to take the order, and then it took even longer to wait for the food to be served. After 3 hours, I finally finished my first French meal. Because I have heard too many stories of being given the cold shoulder by French waiters, I dare not rush them. I have no choice but to wait. While waiting, I found that the waiter was busy bringing the dishes outside the restaurant, and then I found that most people were sitting in the open-air seats opposite. I continued to wait, and it was actually after 9 o'clock that the seats were slowly taken. It is said that the French people eat late, and this is a bit too late. The taste of this meal is quite standard, and you can't expect too much from Western food. It is worth mentioning that the Marseille fish soup is really the taste of the sea! To describe it, it is like taking a deep breath in the fish market, which is quite surprising. My husband, who has always been very sensitive and repulsive to fishy smells, ate it all. I don't know if it is because of the price...

The western food is delicious and not expensive. The environment and service attitude are very good. We like it here very much. The food is served very quickly.
