Firstly, the advice from the waiter/main receiver of the guests, for the meals they offer, was greatly appreciated. There is a significant value in the product served by promoting local Italian products.The ambiance very relaxing and the most attractive part of this restaurant is the local products on sale with a vast assortment of wines. The meal together with service allows you to pass a very delightful experience!

Incredible pizza, the real crust one of the best ever. Topping many choices for all tastes &hellip; not to little and not to much. In a quiet corner (no cars or motorcycles) with nice ambiance.

One of our most enjoyable meals in Matera and very reasonably priced.....best pizza we ate on our trip and you have got to get the &quot;red&quot; ale beers on tap......forget the blond beers these were 6.5% and tasted beautiful!

Tucked away off the Main Street, lovely restaurant with interesting shop attached. Food was delicious. Service was great. Excellent value for money. Look it up when you visit Matera.

Pretty reasonable prices considering its prime location. Catered very well to my son who has multiple food allergies. Service was swift but very friendly. Ordered their appetizer of assorted cold cuts and cheese. I don&rsquo;t like ricotta cheese so they were flexible and gave us 2 burrata cheeses.Definitely book through  The Fork and specify you want outdoor seating with a view. Also recommend booking early in the evening. We came at 7:00, we were the only people there but it got busy and full really fast.

The food at La Dispensa do Aquatio was absolutely incredible. Dino took care of us all evening long and was a great host. We shared between two people two appetizers, on pasta, and one meat. There was a reasonable amount of food served for each plate so we were content between those four things. The restaurant is inside a cave and attached to a hotel and spa. La dispensa di aquatio should not be missed!

Everything was delicious. We shared the poached egg appetizer, lasagna, pork, roasted potatoes, and dessert. I enjoyed being able to peak into the kitchen! Great place for a special meal in Matera.

This is the best meal I&#39;ve had in Italy. The food is french style but all local ingredients. The lasgna was amazing as was the brisket. Great wine list too. Server was very knowledgeable on the menu and I&#39;m glad I trusted his suggestions.

Starting with the ambience, it was accurate. The way it is designed, the light, the feel was excellent. The staff was wonderful, welcoming, knowledgable, and super kind. And then the food, it really felt like each course is telling a story, took us through the chef&#39;s thinking and life experience, and it was simply exquisite and delicious. Really enjoyed the entire evening from beginning to the end.

We had an amazing dinner here for our first night in Matera.  The view from outdoor restaurant is post card perfect!  Gorgeous.  And for food was delicious and creative while also using local ingredients.  I had the vegetarian tasting menu which was exceptional.  I highly recommend dining here.
