Restaurant Terrasse Safran - Eurotel Montreux

Great service already walking in, very nice setting and decorations, food arrived quickly, it was delicious and well prepared. The waiters were very friendly, spoke multiple languages. Very good value.

During a busy 1st August evening meal on the terrace, the staff, especially the maître d', remained friendly, attentive and good-humoured, despite working through a torrential thunderstorm and dealing with a difficult customer.I've always been happy with the food, making this my must-go-to lunch venue on arrival in Montreux, and the setting on the lake is lovely.

We are a 'senior citizen' couple, and the occasion to visit this restaurant was my wife's birthday. We arrived a little early before our appointment, but we were warmly welcomed by the restaurant manager, given a choice of which table to sit, and lo and behold, we sat just as the sun was setting over the 'glowing' lake on a near perfect spring evening in Montreux, after the rains. They allowed us to relax and presented us with the menu, which offered great choices for our 'healthy' diet lifestyle. My wife choice fish and I chicken, and of course, a healthy quantity of fine local red wine. We delighted in the red wine for the first 20 minutes (with excellent freshly baked bread and special butter and a vegan spread), before our main course arrived. It was cooked perfectly, and the pommes frites (which I had also changed to, even though my original accompaniment was going to be 'blé' or likely some cereal) was just 'something to die for'.Later, we decided to indulge ourselves with some dessert, and we ordered chocolate mouse for myself and chocolate pudding for my wife. Some 15 minutes, we suddenly 'saw' the lights switched off, and the staff came round to our table singing happy birthday lovingly to my wife, and presented the dessert with a bright 'fire' sprouting away. We were surprised at this 'celebration', and appreciated very much the special warmth, friendliness and kindness of the staff at this gesture.More red wine was ordered, yes, it was an extraordinary indulgence for us, but the decor, quality of food and wine, the reception, staff treatment of us and our own joy in being there all made it necessary to 'indulge'.It was a most memorable evening that we will always recall with fondness, and I wish to thank all the staff at the Safran for the very natural way they helped us make this special evening truly extra specially memorable.All the very best to Safran and Eurotel and of course, glorious Montreux, it is a 'package' from the heavens!

We had a lovely dinner of venison specials. The food was delicious, the wine selections outstanding, and the service was impeccable. So close to the Montreux train station, we were able to stroll along the boulevard to walk off our indulgent meal. We will be returning soon!

It was the best meal of our trip and our trip was a month long! The food, the setting, the service and the attention to detail by the chef - so famtastic!!
