We loved it! We definitely want to go back! The service was impeccable, the decoration and the mood of the place is the top tier of the traditional portuguese vibe. However the main draw is the the food. It is delicious, so well prepared and well presented. We had the Posta Mirandesa and Bife Mirandês, which is a special cut of beef from the Portuguese northeast lands. The preparation of both courses was different but equally delicious. We had two desserts, Pudim Abade de Priscos and Delícia de Amêndoa which are also traditional portuguese deserts and they were some of the best prepared ones we ever had.
So glad we went a little off the beaten path. Lovely people, amazing food, and a great wine list! Loved our meal and had a memorable experience that was one of the highlights of our trip!
Authentic Portuguese food, with lots flavor, excellent wine options and great service. Great experience enjoying food in an authentic place with lots of history
Great old style restaurant. They opened in 1942 and the place looks exactly like what you would expect from a restaurant on the 40's. The space is well preserved and the service old style. The owners where at the restaurant supervising everything. Most important the food was really good, not cheap for a Portuguese restaurant, but the taste was fantastic, the portions huge. really recommend the posta mirandesa and the bolinho de bacalhau. If you have a sweet tooth, don't miss the deserts.
