De Roode Leeuw

If you can only choose one place, it must be this one. From appetizers, main courses to desserts, all of them challenge your taste buds, and each one will make you praise it. ​I especially recommend the cheese rice bowl here, which is so delicious that it makes you doubt your life.

Restaurant De Roode Leeuw has a history of more than 100 years. Mussels (also known as clams and green mouths) are very famous and are a traditional delicacy known to every household in the Netherlands. The Netherlands also holds a mussel festival every year. However, due to the overly sophisticated service, we ended up eating for two hours, resulting in a parking fee of 22 euros. The underground parking lot in the mall is indeed expensive, but there is really no parking space on the ground. We ordered Mosselen for 24 euros, Omelet sarnalen for 14 euros, hocomel and Bitter Lemon drinks for 2.75 euros each, and a total of 46 euros including the tip. It was delicious!

Enjoy a delicious dinner in the red-themed restaurant with luxurious and noble decoration while feeling the love of Amsterdam. Sit in the red chairs and enjoy local food accompanied by alcoholic drinks.

We had never been here but we’re thoroughly surprised with the place. The atmosphere was absolutely beautiful and had a very warm vibe to it. The staff were very patient and helpful with us, making sure we had a good dining experience. The food was good however i found the steak a bit dry. This did nothing to reduce how much we enjoyed ourselves. We would definitely recommend this restaurant to others and we’ll most likely come back ourselves.

Excellent Dutch restaurant in central Amsterdam. We enjoyed a Dutch soup and a lasagne. Service was prompt and friendly. Second time we have been to this restaurant. Recommended. Covid passport checked on entry.
