Sono Japanese Restaurant Portside Wharf

We had a very pleasant meal at Sono Japanese Restaurant Portside Wharf, 39 Hercules St, Hamilton | Level 1, Building 7, Portside Wharf, Brisbane, Queensland 4007, Australia. We thought it was great value for money as we felt everything was just right for our taste. The sake was amazing! The sashimi was the best I have ever had! I wasn't a fan of the spicy food but that was just my taste and not the food. The staff were lovely and the experience was great. The cocktails were great too! This is the best restaurant I have ever been to!

Sono Japanese Restaurant, I went there with the family of a big foreign student. The environment is quite good. The sukiyaki and crabs are both excellent!

I'm not sure if it was filling, but it was more than enough. I noticed the table next to me had tempura which looked very filling with huge shrimp and vegetables, I will try that next time. The service was very attentive and efficient, with clear instructions for each dish. There was also an extensive wine list. We can't wait to go back.

The sushi and sashimi were both pretty good, the wasabi tasted good, the sashimi rice was also very good, and there was raw beef, but I couldn't eat it, so I cooked it together in a sukiyaki pot, and it tasted good.

Small shop with friendly staff and great service. Large portions of sashimi, salmon belly sashimi, edamame, prawns with avocado, udon noodles, and a bottle of wine for the two of us came to around $140.
