The Maruya main store is a famous restaurant that specializes in eel three ways. There are delicious eel rice all over Japan. The eel rice in Nagoya is called Hitsumabushikakumabushi, which means the eel is dipped in sauce, grilled over charcoal, and then placed in an oku (a wooden barrel for rice) filled with white rice.
