The Arch of Septimius Severus is one of the two existing triumphal arches in the Roman Forum. It is located at the northwest end of the Roman Forum. It is a white marble building built in AD 203. The Arc de Triomphe commemorates the death of Emperor Septimius Severus and his two sons Caracalla and Septimius Geta in 194 or 195 and 197 - Twice victories over Persia in 199. The Arc de Triomphe of Severo is 23 meters high and 25 meters wide, with 3 archways. The middle archway is 12 meters high, and the remaining two are 7.8 meters high. At first a flight of stairs between the two landings connected the arch in the middle. It was replaced by a road in the 4th century AD.
