What a stunning environment. Nestled in the hills the restaurant offers an authentic Italian setting. Seating outside and inside. The restaurant is decorated in typical Italian style. The food was exceptional and the staff Stefano the owner and his lovely assistant Virginia were so friendly and truly made our experience a memorable one .

We needlessly worried whether Il Convio welcomed Americans. The embrace was full. Every dish was high quality in ingredient, preparation and taste. Rich antipasto. Savory truffles. The bass, amazing. The steak (though hugging the rare side), so flavorful. Tasty artichoke and asparagus. Perfect pasta. Yummy potatoes. Luscious deserts. Red wine in Kool-Aid like carafes. Beautiful rotational settings on clay chargers. Remote and charming ambiance. (Maybe ask for an interior table on chilly nights.) Perfect service. One of our best Italian dinners. 4 hours of yes, yes, yes for less than $65 per person - antipasto, first, second (wonderful shared steak too), wine and desert - embarrassing value.

We took a last minute reservation for our large family with kids and everything was wonderful! My family said it was the best meal and most beautiful restaurant of their trip. Thank you!

Lovely restaurant with great food and great atmosphere. Also, they have a playground for kids so perfect for families too!
