521***36The food is quite authentic compared to Hong Kong tea restaurants, but the worst thing is that the service attitude is very similar. They scan the order and get impatient if you ask too much. Back to the food, the choy sum is tender and tastes good. I asked for no soy sauce and it was served. I forgot the scientific name of the pearl grouper, but it is not a true deep-sea grouper, but the taste is good and it is steamed well without being overcooked. The coffee is the bitter Hong Kong version, which is very good. The soup is lotus root and pork bone soup, which tastes good, but the lotus root skin is not removed cleanly enough.

This restaurant is located across from Nanshan Hospital and next to Tianhong Shopping Mall. Its eye-catching sign is immediately noticeable, and there's a large parking lot. This is a long-established tea restaurant, and the taste is naturally well-deserved. The portions are also larger than those of other tea restaurants (as you can see from the pictures), so most of the customers are repeat customers. You might even have to wait for a table at lunch, and they're open until 10 p.m. for dinner. It's a great choice for dinner, afternoon tea, or a late-night snack.
It was lunchtime, so I randomly found a nearby tea restaurant. The facilities were okay, with parking nearby. The interior was a bit dated, and the space was too small, making it quite crowded. The quality of the food was key. The roast pork was good, with crispy skin, but it was a bit fatty and lacked mustard sauce. The stir-fried choy sum with pork lard was okay, but the lard wasn't fragrant enough, and the bottom of the plate was greasy, having not been cleaned with oil-absorbing paper. The frozen mandarin duck was good, but it felt off at first, but after stirring it myself, it was well-balanced. The coffee and milk tea both had a nice flavor, and the water bar should review why they didn't stir the water before serving. The waiters were desperate to squeeze in customers, sharing tables whenever possible. Don't expect a quiet meal.
