Outstanding!
Had dinner at Gauge prior to going to QPAC to see Book of Mormon and Gauge''s food was easily the highlight of the evening! The chestnut tortellini main was outstanding, as were both the nori tart and the cuttlefish entrees. Easily a five star restaurant!

My husband and I had a 3 course dinner here. We started with a cocktail which was very nice. The menu was a bit different though. For starters I had a very nice looking kohlrabi and my husband had the pork au porcini. He said the pork was chewy but with all the fixings it was delicious. Our mains were definitely pretty average. We had the mecca which was really bland and the chicken was really just chicken with a "blood" side which when we asked was told was pork blood. It looked a bit like ketchup but was nothing to brag about. The desserts on the other hand were amazing. We shared the black garlic bread with burnt herbs and brown butter which tasted like caramel, seaweed ice cream and caramelized bananas. Really pretty. I would definitely recommend Gauge but would suggest two courses (main and dessert). The service was good. There is not a big menu including the wine list which makes choosing easier. All this plus a bottle of wine cost $270.
Having always wanted to try it but never got around to it, we finally decided to go here for breakfast on a weekend. We arrived early but it was already busy. We ordered eggs, bacon, almond butter etc. All were good and the coffee was good. We were so happy that we decided to go back for dinner in the evening.
Will make Brisbane beyond Palma and pot culture. Food, technique and thought are cleverly combined with a fascinating charm. Breakfast and lunch are great. If you have missed Melbourne's Brisbane dining culture, then you must visit this place and it will make up for what you once missed.
Must say the timely service and excellent coffee, as well as the delicious bacon and eggs, everything was so perfect. I think some of the dishes here are the best in Brisbane, I recommend it to everyone, be sure to come and try it! I have had breakfast here many times and I am happy to tell you that it is my favorite place to go!
The location of the restaurant is also excellent, it is close to the museum, very easy to park, easy to take the bus, and the traffic is very convenient. The food is amazing, the service is first class, and the hygiene is well maintained. A bit expensive but a place to go, I highly recommend it to everyone!
