The person was rude to us. Did not talk to us in a nice way. Threw bill and walked away. It is not a good gesture. I would not recommend this to anyone. I would never visit unwelcoming restaurant.
Have never felt so uncomfortable or rushed at a restaurant before. The waiter pointedly looked at his watch as he handed us the menu, and he made us feel completely rushed throughout the meal. They were obviously in a desperate hurry to close,we arrived at 10pm, WITH a reservation. We were only half-way through our starter when the main course was served, without even a hint of apology. Food was average, my main course was rubbish - I ordered vegetable kebabs cooked in a tandoor oven. What I received was mashed potato patties with traces of peas and carrots inside, pretty much the same filling as the samosas, Good luck trying to catch the waiter's eye, a mean feat even with only two tables full in the restaurant.
Disaster. The place is ok, the food is quiet ok though much too simple. But the service is an absolute disaster. We were 9 customers from international background and get almost insulted as we politely refused to leave our plates when the waiter wished to. After this he made us a drama for the "Rechnung" and insulted the group one more time. You must avoid this place! Indian fellows, go to the neighbour: Vegi Stuttgart. Much better and not pretentious restaurant name.
Surprisingly, we had very terrible experience on our first visit to this well reknowned Indian restaurant in Stuttgart. I wrote down following 6 main points to be careful before visiting this restaurant. 1. The receptionist/waiter (who looked like Afghani) was very rude while taking orders. 2. They serve no pickles, chutneys or sweet curd like other Indian restaurants. E.g., We ordered Aloo Paratha and asked for Pudhina chutney (mint chutney). They had it, but refused to serve with the reason that one does not need any souse, chutney or pickle with Aloo Paratha. Lol. Well, Aloo paratha is best eaten with dhaniya podhina chutney and/or sweet yogurt. 3. The quantity of food was terribly less as compared to any other Indian restaurant + 1.5 times the price than other Indian restaurants + the quality was not so good as well. 4. They have problem serving rise. We were 5 people and they served rise for 2 persons only. May be, they are not so prepared for more number of visitors. 5. The most bad thing, we had stone in food. So, you can guess the quality of food. 6. The very next day, unfortunately we all got bad stomach (stomach ache from indigestion). Hope, the manager of restaurant read it and tries to improve. And, the visitors be careful before deciding to choose this restaurant for your lunch/dinner.
