Stopped into Mulligans Taupo and had a few drinks, and hot chips. My son Kobe, who is a chip expert said Mulligans Taupo has the best crinkle chips ever. Just ask Chintu, what your seasoning you like and he will sort it for you. Salt/ pepper....what ever...delicious ! Must try!

I don’t like to give establishments poor reviews but unfortunately this needs one.  Although the food was substantial the quality did not match. I had the Irish Stew advertised as Lamb etc, normal recipe but it came containing Beef. No excuse for this if they want to use cheap cuts of meat then people need to be aware and choose wether they want to take the chance.

Staff are lovely, shame the meals don’t match, the entree shared platter was great, but the mains with flaked mashed potato and 3 lettuce leaves as greens just didn’t cut it.

Meals could be better

We were the only customers in the restaurant at 5 30pm and was told we were not able to order the $20 burger,chips & beer deal although it was advertised on a chalk board outside by the entry. We waited 35 minutes for 2x burgers and when they arrived we were very disappointed with the amount of ingredients on the burgers. One slice of Cucumber, one slice of tomato, one strip of bacon and some spicey Butterchicken style sauce (which was not mentioned on the menu) i can not handle any spice in my food. The fries seemed to be straight from the supermarket freezer, the crinkle cut fry was oily and dissatisfying. After eating our meal we used the bathrooms which were dirty and unpleasant to use.  If you are searching for a traditional Irish pub.. this one is NOT it.

My friend and I were in this pub and a huge group came in. We weren’t part of this but my friend and I wanted to go out for a smoke and the guard told my friend to f*ck off even though we didn’t do anything. So rude and disrespectful xx
