Shibuya refers to the urban area around Shibuya Station in Shibuya Ward, Tokyo. It is one of Tokyo's three major subcenters along with Shinjuku and Ikebukuro, and is a famous downtown area in Tokyo. Shibuya is home to department stores such as Seibu Department Store, Shibuya 109, Parco, and Marui. The statue of Hachiko, the loyal dog, in front of Shibuya Station is a famous landmark, honoring the life of Japan's most famous dog, Hachiko, and his loyalty to his master. The area is also known as the "town of young people."
