The Senator

The dishes are not innovative, but they are quite standard and taste good: Oyster should be produced nearby, and I felt that I couldn't get enough after eating it; Seafood Bisto has shrimp, octopus legs and squid rings, the thickness of the batter, the degree of hardness and saltiness are just right; French fries are the best I have eaten recently, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside with just the right amount of salt; Salmon and lamb chops did not surprise me much, the small problem is that they are not heated evenly for some reason, so the degree of doneness of the whole piece of meat is quite different. It is really comfortable to walk around the neighborhood after dinner, and there is Blue Bottle for after-meal food.

Senator Restaurant opened in 1929 and is the longest-running restaurant in the city. It serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There are outdoor dining areas in front of the door and on the roof. Unfortunately, it is temporarily closed during the epidemic.

The waiter was nice and the place was busy with so many people. We ordered a lot of dishes and most were very good. The pancakes were the exception which were not great. The club sandwich was good but not very memorable.

I personally feel that the coffee in Toronto is average. This restaurant, well, mainly serves simple meals. The most distinctive thing is their snacks. They have a kind of pastry, I don't know what it is translated into, but it's delicious.

I brought my little baby to eat desserts at this senator restaurant. Their desserts are quite delicate and cute, and not too sweet, so they are suitable for children.
