Rossopomodoro Trieste Rive

It was raining so I ordered from a food delivery service. Craving pizza I expected that the quality would suffer a bit because it was being delivered to my hotel but was I wrong. The “fried pizza” - you heard it right - was piping hot and delicious. Believe it or not, frying the pizza did not make it greasy at all. Folded over like a calzone the mozzarella was melty and the very fresh tomato sauce yummy. AND I ordered a most beautiful salad just to get something healthy! Fantastico!

One of the best in Italy, originally recommended to us, we visit the Restaurant and it was delicious. We were recommended the Pizza by some local friends, and it was excellent recommendation, we select different chooses of pizza and all at them were really delicious. We ask for various and we shared, we like them all. 5 Formaggi was my favorite. Original flavor from Napoles in all pizzas. For antipasti order something with ricotta di bufala which is delicious. Not related to Buffalo sauces. Ingredients are really fresh and you can quickly see they have been carefully selected. This was to me a life time experience.

We where couple of times in this restaurant and the food was always good. All the ingredients are always fresh. There are couple of interesting pizza's like Cicciolona (Fried pizza), Ventura, 5 Formaggi, Lasagnella... Service is very good and personal is helpful.House vine was pretty decent. All together, a restaurant worth visiting,

This time, we went there for lunch and decided to stay outside. Not good. The pigeons keep bothering you. Not very pleasant. We had already gone there for dinner; on that occasion, we stayed inside and the service was much better.

We wanted to have a tasty pizza on our first night in Trieste and that's what we got! The Gourmet pizza's are full of flavour, portions are big enough and price is good! Staff is friendly.
