What travelers say:
Sushi Taro, this Japanese restaurant is quite famous in Washington. It can be said to be a very attentive restaurant. The ingredients are all selected from the best ingredients, whether it is the sashimi with the highest click rate, or sea urchin, including drinks, snacks, ice cream, etc. These are all made with great care. The decoration of the restaurant also reveals Japanese elements, and the waiters are also very enthusiastic and almost always available.

It is said that this is a Michelin one-star restaurant in Washington, but after eating there, I felt it was just average, not that good. The sashimi was not fresh enough, the sushi tasted just average, but the environment was pretty good.
My husband and I went to dine at Kaiseiki TDO Taste - I'm so glad we chose this tasting menu over sushi tasting which comes with sashimi sushi as well as traditional Japanese cuisine. The food was exquisite, well prepared and delicious. There were things I've never had before - even if I didn't like it I would have really appreciated the craftsmanship and how the dish was prepared. It is by far the freshest sashimi and sushi you will get in DC and delicious. If you come to DC or live there I highly recommend checking out this restaurant.
Very traditional sushi...very delicious! Our four groups enjoyed tasting menus with paired sake. We also liked the sake an extra large bottle (can't remember which one, but it was dry (dassai?)), and our waiter told us it had a higher alcohol content and chuckled. We were already quite happy crowds, but she had a great time. Comprehensive, professional service, excellent sushi, pleasant atmosphere.
Because I have been eating Japanese food for years, I have eaten in many different cities. The disappointment of not living in DC (not that I want to move) is largely because I can’t eat sushi taro at least once a week. (If I live there, use their pleasure, their omikase counter, and their kaiseki cuisine. Please visit their website for a complete description of these products. My name is "Bara Chirashi". This is because I know it will taste wonderful fish and vegetables in bed with extremely fragrant rice. The dish itself is not too deep, meaning there is enough rice, not the usual pile of rice I am used to in other restaurant posters. The "set" is a bowl of surprise elements; this is with a lot of lobster delicious custard (and possibly shrimp) at the bottom; i-seriously-could eat this huge service. Everything else in our party is wonderful soup, sushi, sashimi, everything. Also, please note that this restaurant is on the first floor on the second floor and is accessible via the outside stairs. The price is quite fair.
Japanese cuisine in Washington is said to be a Michelin sushi taro. I also go to experience the wonderful art of Japanese cuisine in the American drama. Tempura fried soft shell crab is delicious, salmon rice squid is fat, and the roast juice is sweet.
