Not only did we get to eat the local specialties, but the people of Yixing also enthusiastically shared their New Year flavor with us! 📍Zhuyanlou, Address: Opposite to Tianyuan Hotel, Yixing I arrived at the hotel alone at night and didn't know what to eat. There was no takeout nearby. Fortunately, the store opposite the hotel was open and looked a bit like a farmhouse. But I didn't know what to order, so I asked the boss what I could eat alone. He said he would either make fried rice for me, dear, and he added some dishes for me. The boss said this was called "rooting", a dish they would cook during the Chinese New Year.
