This is a youth hostel, the toilet should be shared with others outside the room, regardless of gender. The shower room is not enough for each grid of water pressure. Before choosing which bathroom to use, you can try the water pressure first.
There is a special smell in the room (similar to the damp smell?), but not disgusting, but a feeling of nostalgia (reminiscent of the previous university dormitory). There is no air conditioning in the room, only a fan, but the weather in Geneva is cooler and not a big problem. The place to pay attention to is: the room has less space, if two people have a large suitcase, there may not be enough space to open them all (but a little take down the space, there will be enough space to open the suitcase)
There is a shared kitchen underground, basic kitchen utensils are everything, but remember to clean before use, seasonings (oil, salt) should also be prepared/asked by other guests. You will see people from different nationalities cooking together in the kitchen, although usually each has their own food/eat, but it is difficult to get out, you can also try to talk to them, is a good place to meet new friends outside.
The location is still close to the station (about ten minutes walk to the train station), and only hotels living in Geneva, the traffic in the city is free, you can also take the bus to the station, saving energy, but also pay attention to the time, because the shift is not frequent.
There is a hidden elevator next to the lobby of the hotel. The reception staff did not tell us. We thought we could only take the stairs. Fortunately, the people who were with us were stronger and could help carry the suitcase upstairs. We only found out the day we left. It turned out to be a lift (the old-fashioned kind, the elevator door is like an ordinary door, you have to open the door yourself)
Absolutely loved the location and the ease of access of the hotel. While the bathroom was a little tiny, the room and all facilities provided for the Hotel de Geneve were very good, and I wholly recommend the hotel for your stay in Geneva. Special shootout to the friendly and accommodating staff at the reception. Thank you!
The location is excellent and it only takes 3 minutes to walk to the exhibition venue. Very close to the airport, very convenient. There is a bus stop next to the hotel that takes you to the city center. Very convenient! The breakfast in the lobby is also quite delicious.
Room size was okay, manage to open up 2 luggage in the room. Free transportation card is a plus point. Shopping mall right opposite the hotel, bus stop to the city within walking distance (just right opposite hotel).
Perfectly located in the heart of Geneva’s shopping district with tram and bus stops right at the doorstep. The hotel offers clean, spacious rooms, lovely-smelling toiletries, a cozy lobby bar on the 7th floor. The hotel even provides a link for FREE city transportation upon registration, covering buses, trams, shuttle boats, and trains. For those driving, parking is available at Mont-Blanc car park with but you need to validation at the front desk so that you can get a cheaper rate. Overall, a very enjoyable stay.
It has a nice working place/restaurant at the ground floor. The room is fine. The receptionist is helpful, if you want to open the window, you need to ask them to borrow a handle. It’s good they also provide free travel card!
There are no shortcomings except the small elevator. It is close to the attractions in the city center. The train station is a five-minute walk away. Lake Geneva is just around the corner. There are also many delicious foods around, of course a little expensive.
If u just need a simple room to sleep for the night, it is okay. The heater is super good. So will not feel cold during winter. The lift is super small.
Location is near train station but it is at the red light districts

进进步RaphaellaThe breakfast was great and the location was in the city centre. The service staff are also very good, and they are joking. The elevator is small and reminiscent of Paris. The location is not so bad to find it.
