Great location and facilities Clean and friendly staff Only complaint: the room I booked “Sunshine Street-View Room (Shared Bathroom, Desk, Private Space) “ does not have street view- all the rooms from my understanding had window that opens to the corridor. So this description is incorrect. Other than that a comfortable stay

A 2-star hotel with affordable prices, but the room is quite spacious, well-equipped, and the property feels like new. Strategically located near Wangfujing Street and the station. One of the best things about this hotel is that it's right next to a Muslim restaurant and a 7-Eleven. Highly recommended for families vacationing in Beijing.

My overall experience at the hotel was positive. The location is convenient and close to the metro, making it easy to get around. The room was decent for a solo traveler. I must highlight the outstanding service and hospitality of the two receptionists (02 girls); they were incredibly helpful in booking tickets for local attractions and were friendly, with a good understanding of English.

Perfect location for overnight stay near airport. Clean, spatious, comfortable, free laundry machines, lots of food spots just around the corner, free transfer. Only 2 things are questionable. A slight sigarette smell in the room. Very slight, but I am sensitive. I asked to change the room. The second one was better, but it was still not the best. Feeling like the corridor was fresher than the room. Breakfast was all chineese style, meaning more or less spicy. For international visitors, it could be an issue.

I am from Malaysia, I travelled with 2 senior adults and a kid for 7 days 6 nights Sept 2024. We booked 2 rooms (1 double single beds, 1 family room). I had an incredible experience and hospitality from Hanting Hotel (wangfujing branch). The staff were all very friendly and special thanks to Xiao Fang 小方, Yan, Xiao Hui 小惠, Xiao Zhan小詹, Xiao Si 小司. They worked on shifts, but I did talk and do enquiry whenever I needed because I do not read well in chinese. They provided excellent guidance on locations, ticket purchases, and travel tips around the city, as well as fantastic food recommendations around the city. Their service truly made our trip memorable. I usually don’t write reviews, but this experience deserves recognition. Highly recommend staying here. With this price within the 1st to 2nd ring of beijing you get a Location is approx. 300m walking distance to wangfujing main street with plenty of shopping, 150m away with Mcdonald and subway. Hotel beds at the right comfortable level, suitable for senior adults where the bed is not too soft or too hard, and pillows are good. Air Con cold enough, unlike some other hotel that they don't switch on to air-conditioning during autumn, breakfast wise is normal with fried noodle, fried rice, porridge, different type of steam buns, toast bread, fruits, 2 types of juices, coffee, tea, 2 or 3 types of appetisers (冷菜). I stayed at level 2, and the water pressure for the shower is good too. Though the hotel is located at the backstreet of wangfujing, which may look a little dim at night, but my family and I walked around for a few nights - i feel safe. I walked alone to wangfujing shopping till 10.30pm and returned without feeling worried. Next to the hotel there is a mini restaurant which provides good bbq (烧烤), Chinese dishes and drinks. We had a few rounds of beers enjoying Chinese bbq as supper without travelling elsewhere. People at this hotel very friendly comparing to other part of Beijing where sometimes I feel they are rude in talking with a loud and impatient tone. Travellers with family and friends should stay here. Highly recommended.

The closet broken and no one repair, after we flush it will be like that. The reason of the price worth it only the Location. This hotel in Wangfujing, close to resto, mall, and the important thing is close to metro line 6 to everywhere. And also close to place must to visit in Beijing. But for facilities (bathroom so small like on a ship, the bed also not too comfortable, only the location was perfect)

This is my 1st time staying in this kind of hotel. We arrived at 8/9 am and luckily the lady said twas our lucky day because we can have our early checkin (we just did 22hrs of train trip!). Thank u 大姐。The lobby is always lively with many people gathered, either for chatting or just sitting around, minding each own business. U need to climb to 3rd stairs to reach the lobby so be ready with your luggages. 3rd to 4th floor there will be an elevator. The lobby provides u with earplugs in case u need it. The lady and a boy i guess? Can speak english, but they also use translation app so worry not they have quite few ppl at the receptionist ready to help. Next is the room. The bunk bed is cozy enough for ur sleep. The air cond is centralized. The aunty will pick ur trash daily. Then, the toilet. Eventho it is weird that the shower room esp the left side (from entrance pov) has that strange smell that usually in toilet, the aunty and uncle oftentimes clean the shower room, the sinks, the toilet, evrything (so the area is clean, this is important! Thankyou aunty uncly the superb cleaner!) so i wonder whats going on that shower room. They also put aircond in the shower and toilet so u will b able to breathe. The location is around 20 to 30 mins lazy walk to majiapu or beijing south (not many food stalls but on the lower floor, there is this small stall sold small cake/bread). Idk if the hotel provide amenities. I saw the aunty walking around with her cart filled with towels and blanket i guess, u could ask the receptionist abt this. I bought disposable towel and slippers myself from ******* for low price so it's fine on me. Your ******* also can deliver your things to your front door, but pls put clear instructions on ur room no. to help them because all doors look alike and they have many rooms. The hallway is also clean. The refrigerator outside is soo full i can only put a thin can of coke. There's also small ******* powerbank nearby refrigerator. Also a dispenser for loading your water. The hairdryer? I love it. It works well. I purchased 2 nites here and then continued purchase for another 2 nights. It feels like im staying at university dorm with many students. I lost the picts of the room and the toilet sorry😭 but it looks like what they posted on this app.

I was unfortunately disappointed by this stay. I booked one of the single rooms they had on offer and it was a big mistake. My room had a 1x1 metre post to the side leaving me next to no floor space. I have a pretty standard sized suitcase which was impossible to open on the floor and barely enough space to unpack everything. To add to this, the mattress topper was in dire need of replacing (there were brown marks on parts of it), the pillow was old and dirty, the walls had experienced damp and were scuffed, and all in all the room was more of a cupboard long overdue a makeover. I was due to be staying in Beijing for 4 nights but decided to cut my stay short here as for £10 extra a night there is a hotel with ensuite bathrooms down the road. I would rather have some level of comfort even if this is supposedly a cheap room for Beijing, I didn't think it was worth it. The rest of the hostel looked okay, the hostel dorm beds looked modern and the toilets were adequate apart from the fact that other guests in the hostel were washing their dirty socks in the sink, which I have never seen before in all of the hostels I have been in and thought it was a bit disgusting. But it doesn't seem like it is too bad a hostel - just not good single rooms! All in all, please note that if you're booking one of the private rooms, don't make the same mistake as me! It's more of a pantry cupboard than a bedroom, great for a short stay, although difficult for anything longer.

I've stayed in many places, but this one truly felt welcoming and comfortable. Its central location was perfect for shopping and running errands, and I was delighted by the selection of local eateries nearby that perfectly suited my taste. The room's cleanliness was a pleasant surprise; the attention to detail really showed how much care they put into it. The front desk staff were consistently cheerful, and their genuinely friendly service made the whole experience enjoyable. Evenings were surprisingly quiet, ensuring a peaceful and undisturbed night's sleep. While the amenities aren't luxurious, they are comprehensive and perfectly functional, making for a very comfortable stay. Overall, it was a modest yet high-quality experience, and I would definitely consider revisiting if I'm in the area again.

GGuest UserHotel was about 15-20 min walk to the subway station, which consider pretty far. Not like what other review says it's within minutes walk. Will be difficult if you're pushing heavy luggage. Do take note that nearest station is DongZhimen station which by far, I've not found any elevator nor downward escalator, which will make it difficult when going to airport by subway train. There should be one downward escalator somewhere but eventually we decided to take a cab down which takes about $160 yuan for a 6 seater. A lot of eateries around the hotel area and a pharmacy next door which makes it convenient if touch wood , any co-traveller falls sick. But not a very friendly pharmacist there. Our hotel room is the bigger one with projector with movies. Just need to use WeChat app to scan to access. Basic stuff provided in the hotel. Anything else, you have to ask , eg shaver, or floss etc but no safe and fridge , wardrobe though. There is a Korean restaurant in the hotel which makes it convenient if you decide not to dine out. Customer service wise, housekeeping staff were friendly and helpful, accommodating our request here and there. Except one day-shift front desk who is not too helpful nor friendly. Sometimes when we asked for extra bottles of water or tissue packs, she would be reluctant and ask for our room number to keep track of our usage. As my co-travellers caught a flu in between, we need more tissues. At one time, when I asked for two more packs of tissues, in the end she came up to tell me hotel run out of tissue and can only give me one pack, the rest is toilet rolls. But when later, I approach the housekeeping staff, the cleaner lady gladly handed me what I needed. Too bad I didn't know the name of the unfriendly front desk. But she's the smaller built size one. On the contrary, one night shift front desk is to totally extremely helpful and friendly, she goes by the name ”Xiao Li staff number 000”. As my co-travellers fall sick in the middle of the night, running fever and catching cold and cough, I have nowhere to buy medication. She helped me to order online with ”mei tuan” which we foreigners have no way to order unless with a local number. She even offered me more water and tissue packs without me requesting. The next early morning, when I walked past the reception to get my breakfast, she even asked how my co-travellers are doing and whether they recovering. On the day of departure, she helped me with the booking of a cab to airport and gave me a few pointers going to airport. Her presence make me gives an extra star to this hotel. She is definitely the best staff in the hotel. Overall, if you are travelling alone or with adults companion, this hotel is considered decent but with children, you may want to be prepared to walk more or take a cab to any of your destinations.

GGuest UserThe room was clean, no odd smells and soundproofing was okay too. The receptionist is really nice. The room I first got had really loud noise from the air-conditioning but they moved me to another room which don't have that issue. Well, the room is really small but that was expected before I booked the hotel, I'm satisfied with the room. The only thing is the location, great location which is close to subway station but far from attractions. I guess that is the reason that this hotel is cheaper than those that are closer to attractions.

GGuest UserTo be honest, we were quite unhappy. First, we deliberately chose a non-smoking room. The room we got smelled like an ashtrey. After we discussed with the service, we got another room. But still, that was annoying after a long journey. Secondly: The breakfast. If you deliberatly choose, that you want one + pay for one, then that normally has a reason (e.g. no stress in the morning). The breakfast consisted of two small, sweet 'pastries' from Familymart (the small ones in the plastic bags), a sausage and a small drinking milk carton. Sorry, but that's definitly no breakfast. Maybe just don't write it on your profile, then we would have choosen another one :)

GGuest Useri would like to thank the hotel staff a lot for being accomodating and helpful to our group as there were miscommunications as we didn't know chinese and relied on translation apps that weren't accurate for the most part. i acknowledge that they did extra things that came with having guests like us who couldn't understand chinese (ex. how to work the washing machine for example, or letting us borrow their wechat to deliver food the first night because we were hungry and there was no place to eat that was open on that day-CNY) and they helped as in every step as much as they can, which i really appreciated. the hotel cleans the rooms every 3rd day too but they always give new towels, and water bottles and slippers every day. which i think are very kind of them. the rooms are VERY spacy too which is great. the beds were comfortable as well. you can also request toothbrushes if you need more. there;s a lso a very good and restaurant next to the hotel that is open very late if anyone was wondering (esp since the location is a bit far from others). the washing machine was very confusing though because we would wait for the whole time it would say it would take to finish, but when we would check after that stated time, it would add like another hour. and it would do that every time so we had to physically ask to override the machine everytime we would need our clothes. only downside was there was miscommunication with communicating through trip.com and the hotel because i would message trip for help and they would say that the hotel said one thing but then it wouldn't exactly be correct. (like my family wanted to get the coat rack fixed because it was broken and it was maybe 3 days before it was fixed--the problem was trip told us it was already fixed in the 2nd day? so it was a bit confusing when we arrived. the hotel staff were very kind though and fixed it on the 3rd when we specifically went up to the front desk for help). i also think trip.com should maybe not put that breakfast is available as the hotel breakfast is a bit debatable and not a full meal. my father need FULL meals for his medication so one factor for our booking this hotel was because there was breakfast available. but the hotel only provides a few fruits, boiled eggs, and plain toast. so we often got breakfast outside still. overall, the hotel itself and hotel staff was very good and comfortable to stay with! thank you!

GGuest UserWe had a pleasant stay at this hotel; however, when we visited in April, the air conditioning was not turned on. Apparently the entire building is connected to a central air conditioning system that doesn’t get turned on until May. Keep this in mind if are looking for A/C. The temperatures outside were hot during the day, so it took a long time to cool the room down by night time without A/C. The service was great! But just know that you will likely need assistance translating Chinese as there were no English-speaking hotel agents.

GGuest UserReally nice place with really friendly staff!! I even extended my stay there. The location is great, you have the bus and the underground closeby. You have a famous Lamaist pagoda next door and really cute street with cute cafés, restaurants that us really nice in the evening. The rooms are clean, with sockets right above your own bed and provide slippers for the shower. They provide ear plugs, toiletry items and a washing machine. There is a roof top and common areas to eat your delivery food (they have a system where you can order your food and deliver at the place). I really enjoyed my stay there!
