Loved this place, great food and great staff, rooms are on small side but ideal for us, pool great and tram right outside, only negative is the toilet situation as it’s very very narrow! Apart from that will be back again soon..

Firstly, the sign on the door says, ”Tudor Rose Original” - in case anyone was wondering.
There's not many places which are on the promenade for a family of 4 for <£40. We stayed in the quad room, which had a double and 2 singles, perfect for the 4 of us. It's a very short walk to the beach, South Pier, Water Land, Pleasure Beach and there's a Whetherspoons around the corner. The tram stop is also close by (South Pier).
The welcome we got was nice. Sarah and Robert were nice. We needed toilet roll, milk and mugs for the room which were quickly stocked. The curtain rail fell down immediately on entering the room, and it was taken care of quickly. They have free pool and fussball in the living room and we're playing energetic music which I liked. The bar is empty, but Sarah told us that bringing in alcohol was not a problem. Very nice welcoming people.
The room was fine. Theres always 3 things that I look for in a room:
1) Comfy bed
2) Cleanliness
3) Hot water and working shower
1) Beds were fine actually. I thought the mattresses were a bit ”springy” - as in I could feel the springs. But we all slept on them fine.
2) Room wasn't as clean as I would have liked. The carpet needs changing, and we found some rubbish (sweet wrappers) behind one of the chairs in the room that wasn't ours. Also the curtains looked a little suspect (?mould on them). Blinds would be a nice replacement.
3) The shower was awful unfortunately and what really let this stay down. The hot water wasnt the problem, but the shower shot out first boiling hot water, then when the cold water eventually caught up, the pressure dropped significantly and so I could only have a warm dribble shower. This may need addressing. It could be because we were on the third floor, but it was still slightly disappointing. We were given towels for the room too. The light above the mirror in the bathroom didn't work either.
All in all, for a last minute booking, it was a cheap and cheerful stay.

GGuest UserWe visited this place with friends, 5 of us, and got a great service for 5 people in 2 different rooms. We shared one toilet. We paid 118 quids for service which is quite nice for 5 people staying for a night. As we were visiting the Blackpool pleasure beach and carrying backpacks would have been difficult so we requested the hotel staff to keep our luggage while we checked out and were gone out for the entire day, and thankfully they agreed. All in all I loved the overall service, highly commendable.
GGuest UserPamela & Peter were great making sure I had everything I needed, including car parking availability. The bed was very comfortable, the shower was basic but hot. I didn’t use the tv & nearby chair but they were available. The breakfast was good & I had a very tasty home-made steak pie & veg one evening. Plenty of pubs and curry restaurants nearby.
GGuest UserThe quality of this hotel was not great, but all we wanted was somewhere to sleep while we were in Blackpool so it served its purpose, and for the valid it was perfect.
Be aware that although the hotel says there is WiFi, it is only on the lobby and doesn't reach the rooms. We also didn't have a remote for the TV and it wouldn't work without, although we asked for one multiple times, the staff were unable to find one that worked for our TV.
The walls are very thin and you hear every noise from around the hotel. Luckily (also unfortunately) our room was the furthest away possible.
The water pressure on the shower was amazing. The hotel water on the tap comes out boiling hot straight away.
Overall, the quality of the hotel wasn't great, but for the price it was everything we needed
GGuest UserClean and tidy room, quad with private bathroom, 2 double beds. Blinds on windows instead of curtains and not blackout blinds, which left gaps in so people could see into room. Tv and tea/coffee in room. No breakfast available as no chef currently employed. £50 cash deposit must be given on check-in which was returned with no problem after room inspection. Well stocked bar and karaoke with bingo was played on Friday and Saturday night. Parking available at £10 a night but looked a bit risky out the back so didn’t park here. Reception not always manned and can be a long wait for someone to come after pressing bell. No hot water on 2nd morning so it looks like the early risers take all the hot water. For the price for a family of 4 over easter it wasn’t as bad as some reviews.
SScottish travellerWe've stayed 3 times already. No breakfast facilities but never an issue as we prefer a long lie in. Really close to Blackpool North station. Short walk to all our favourite places - Abingdon Street Market, Funny Girls, Galleon, Soul Suite, Wintergardens, West Coast Rock, Cafe Continental (breakfast/ lunch venue) Little Black Pug and lots of other great shops, cafes, restaurants, pubs & charity shops. Easy access to trams & buses to various other areas & 10 min walk to North Pier/ prom.
TTrip.com SGJPFirst of all, the biggest advantage of hotels in this area is their good accessibility. They are close to National Rail and National Express stations, so it is easy to travel to London or other cities immediately after arriving.
And this James Bond hotel is clean. The Plaza Hotel next door has some smelly rooms, but this hotel is clean and has no smell. I recommend it.
There is also a bar in the basement so you can enjoy it.
GGuest UserLove the hotel. Huge room size and bathroom, ample parking, good facilities - kettle, tea, coffee - close to city centre, hospital and halal food. It’s so good that we came back and stayed for another week! Definitely my go to hotel whenever Im in Lancaster.
RRandallSueBasic B&B. Clean beds and towels. Small room but had all you needed. Mismatched furniture and a bit dated but new owner was very pleasant when we were leaving. Location for carpark, ice rink and trams was great. Usually stop in 4* but couldn't get in our favourites and this did what we needed. Great price.
