The location is excellent. Especially in the morning, Lake Biwa is a place you want to look at forever. If you are staying for multiple nights, you can choose whether or not you want your room cleaned, and the customer service is polite. Meals are served buffet style, and I had curry rice.
I didn't notice it when I made a reservation, but it was a love hotel.
However, the key handling was fuben, but I was able to stay without inconvenience except for that.
Everything is great. Bed linen, cleaning, cleanliness, responsiveness of the hotel administration, free toothbrushes, razors, towels, paper napkins, unlimited water. High-quality atmosphere, you can see the clock from the window. You can't hear the metro. I recommend it to everyone when they come. The only problem is the interruptions in the Wi-Fi and its speed, but overall it's fine. A solid 4. Still, communication is always needed.
The Sumiyoshiya Ryokan provides a great place for travelers to relax after a busy day. The Sumiyoshiya Ryokan offers a pleasant stay in Nagahama for those traveling for business or leisure. The hotel is conveniently located a short 300m drive from JR Takatsuki Station. Seeing Nagahama's sights from this hotel is easy with No-Okami deity of Kashihara (Keyaki Japanese Zelkova Tree), Takatsuki Kannon-no-sato Museum of History and Folklore and Jiunzan Kogen-Ji Temple all close by. This hotel makes a great place to kick back and relax after a long day of sightseeing. There's never a dull moment at this hotel, our guests indicate that the facilities are excellent.
Even in the time zone before check-in, I was able to guide the parking lot comfortably.
Breakfast was also served with various bread and drinks and I could spend the morning slowly because I was able to eat in the room.
Hotel location should be the biggest advantage, about five minutes walk from the river Basaka Station. The hotel staff is very professional and welcoming.
The hotel's breakfast is a traditional Japanese rice side dish, simple but the taste is quite satisfactory. Other aspects are standard business hotels, if you are on a business trip, you can choose.
The room was spacious and clean, the breakfast was rich, and it was quiet at night.

RRoger MichaelOk. First of all leave your expectations at home expecting hotel level service. Once you've done that if you want a cheap but clean place to stay this is it. This is a seinenkan - a facility for youth and youth-related organizations to conduct independent study and recreational activities, many of which have basic accommodation facilities but higher grade facilities than youth hostels. They are located all over Japan. I stayed in a tatami mat room on a floor with shared toilet facilities. The ground floor has a large communal bath - obviously separate for male and females. They have lights out at 11 p.m. and guests must return by the same time. There is a very modern cafe onsite serving cheap breakfasts (see photos) but the cafe closes by 6 p.m. There is a convenience store 10 minutes walk away so I suggest you buy snacks and beverages en route from JR Ishiyama station. For dinner, there is a family restaurant - good value and okay food - about 6 minutes walk away.
The seinenkan is located on a small island by a historic bridge. The views of the river inlet flowing into the main Lake Biwa is relaxing, lots of bird wildlife, and lots of rowers (the seinenkan is a water sports facility too). and the sunrise and sunset views are lovely.
The staff are very kind. It cost me ¥5,500 for one night and I will stay there again if I have the opportunity.
TTimentoDiverNestled in the heart of Konan, Hotel Sun Crest is a poetic haven. Its location, adorned with 4 stars, unveils a serene canvas in Iwanechuo. Cleanliness, a masterpiece, claims 4.5 stars, each corner brushed with meticulous care. The staff's charm, akin to a subtle melody, earns a modest 4 stars, adding a harmonious note to the sojourn. A symphony of value echoes with 4.5 stars, a fusion of quality and affordability. The facilities, a choreography of comfort, dance gracefully with 4.5 stars, creating an opulent performance.
Amidst this artistic tapestry, the breakfast tableau is a radiant 5-star spectacle, a crescendo of flavors. However, stealing the spotlight is the spacious single occupancy room—a sanctuary of tranquility. Hotel Sun Crest, an aesthetic voyage, invites patrons to savor the blend of practicality and allure in the heart of Konan.
GGuest UserGreat option for visiting the Shirahige Shrine. The host offered a ride in the early morning after knowing we were planning to go, which was extremely kind of him.
Room was very spacious and clean, with a nice view. Very close to the station and easy to find.
The only thing I would note is that there was only one bath. We arrived around 830pm and planned to take the bath shortly, but by the time we settled and got downstairs (around 9pm), someone else was using it so we couldn't get in until after 930. It was a shame that we couldn't enjoy the hot bath as much as we wanted as we tried to hurry out for the next group since they were waiting after us but I'm not sure if they were able to use it as the bath closes at 10pm.
GGuest UserNote that the time is up, you need to communicate with the hotel in advance, otherwise it is easy to eat closed doors. In addition, the hotel is very satisfied, clean and the room is very comfortable. Breakfast is delicious
GGuest UserI was surprised to come to Kashiwara without any information. The history here goes back to the Edo period.
This is a Japanese-style house. The courtyard and plants are beautiful, and the rooms are clean and herb-scented.
It feels so good to look at the garden while drinking tea in the rain.

AAnonymous UserTraditional Japanese-style residence, tatami room, homestay, Chinese person in charge. You can stroll around the lake. Sound insulation is not good. Consciously keep quiet and normal work and rest. Don't disturb others.
KKitVery nice. The owner is very nice and helpful. He is able to speak English. Moreover, the private Onsen room is really impressive. Hope I can go next time.
かかっくんかっくんRecommended for those who value cost performance. It's perfect for solo travelers. However, please consider it to be equivalent to the age of the building. To put it bluntly, it has a Showa feel. The behavior of the employees is not bad. They will lend you a bicycle to go to the convenience store.
玩玩樂ㄧ極棒From the window of the room window, you can see Wuhu 😍
I signed up for the early morning paddle experience SUP in advance, just next to the hotel, friends who want to go to Wuhu must not miss 👍
