The hotel is along the river, so the view from the rooms and the sound of the flowing river are pleasant. The exterior looks old, but the interior is very clean.
The food was also delicious, and since it was the season, we got a whole crab for each person. We were so full by dinner that we were almost bursting at the seams.
The hot springs were truly the best, and although the hotel was fully booked, there were several baths, so we were able to relax and enjoy the hot springs without it being crowded.
The customer service was also very polite, and I would recommend this hotel.
Very satisfied! The price is not expensive but there is a drink bar until 9pm
No snacks and juice after 9 o'clock
Coffee and tea are also available
There is free ramen in the evening. It looks ordinary but tastes normal.
The area near Tottori Station is not prosperous.
I can't find it. I want to eat the wind and I'm not afraid of being hungry.
The large public bath is not big, but there are not many people, so it is enough.
There is also a washer and dryer for free.
Comments on Marumo Onsen Hotel in Tottori, Japan
Located in Misasa Onsen Village, Tottori Prefecture, it is a traditional Japanese hot spring hotel with a long history. Misasa Onsen is famous for its ”radium hot springs”. The spring water is rich in radioactive elements (trace, safe), and the surrounding environment is quiet, suitable for tourists who want to experience the culture of deep mountain hot springs. The radium hot springs (weak radioactive springs) of Misasa Onsen are milky white and have unique therapeutic effects, especially suitable for relieving neuralgia, muscle soreness, etc.
There are indoor baths and open-air baths (separate baths for men and women), which can be reserved for some time periods. The open-air baths are surrounded by mountains and forests, with an excellent atmosphere. You can look up at the stars and take a bath at night.
Some room types come with private open-air baths (reservations are required in advance), suitable for couples or families.
Catering services: Dinner offers Tottori local specialties, including mountain delicacies and seafood, such as Tajima beef, mountain vegetables, etc., with exquisite presentation and sufficient portions.
For breakfast, Japanese set meals are recommended, and the jam made from the local specialty ”Twentieth Century Pear” with grilled fish is recommended.
If you are looking for ”historical sense + healing hot springs”, this is a good choice.
Traditional Japanese tatami hot spring hotel
The environment is OK, the hot spring is not bad.
The feature is Linhai, but this season the wind is super cold, there is no way to outdoor hot springs
How to say the service is normal in the Japanese every day
The receptionist did not speak English. It was difficult to communicate. Then when I checked out, I got the luggage next to the car.
Two meals, similar to Kaiseki, nothing delicious.
Calling at 8:30 in the morning to wake up and eat is also wonderful
In short, the price is expensive and the price is average.

Ariga is so bitter!
The location is very good. Walk 200 meters to the left after exiting Tottori Station and cross the road. The sign is quite big. You need to swipe your card to enter after 10 o'clock. It is quite good to stay here when traveling alone. I recommend staying in a 6-person room. The toilet and bathroom are very clean. The price is relatively cheap. There is also a kitchen with a washing machine. There are also toiletries. I stayed for two nights and felt that the price-performance ratio is very high. The suitcase is placed under the bed, and there is a lock for valuables at the head of the bed. There are no convenience stores nearby. If you want to buy something, it is recommended to go to Lawson at the south exit first. It is also very close to AEON. About 5 minutes walk
The exterior and interior were both very clean and it was a great place.
The manager was also nice and guided me to my room smoothly.
The rules were clearly written and easy to see, so I felt at ease even though it was my first time there.
Since it's a room-only stay, you'll need to bring your own towels, toothbrushes, food, etc.
Towels and other items are cheap, but they still cost a little money, so I recommend bringing your own.
Food and drinks are only available on the first floor, so you'll need to eat here too.
I think it's best to get a drink while you're there.
It was a place I'd definitely like to use again.
It was a very clean and comfortable facility!
There were many hot springs and bars nearby, and we were free to come and go 24 hours a day, so we had no complaints.
Diagonally across from the Baishan Grand Palace Hotel, a very cozy hotel, all Japanese, a little bit away from Dashan Temple, we drove there in 5 minutes. Many elderly people come here to climb mountains. There are no convenience stores or shops nearby, so it is best to bring some by yourself. Breakfast and dinner are included. You can choose Japanese or Western style, which is very good. The bathroom is open after 4pm to 10pm, which is not suitable for people who have to take two baths a day. Check-in must be after 3pm.
Kindest staff!! Very welcoming, helpful, warm and kind^^
After climbing Mt Daisen, my legs were sore and the wonderful hot Onsen really soothed and healed my whole body. It really refreshed me:)
Room was very clean, flawless, perfect air-conditioner.
They have me a ride to the bus stop after check out.
Overall, very satisfied. I wish I could have stayed here longer. The air was so fresh in Daisen, I already miss the air! I will definitely come back! Thank you very much for your warm hospitality ^_^

GGuest UserA lovely little stay in Hawai Onsen! The local area was so quiet and peaceful, with a couple of good restaurants and a convenience store within a short walk (we were also offered assistance with an izakaya reservation, if we wanted it). The room was big and clean, with comfortable beds and a good selection of provided ameneties. Owner was also very attentive to our needs, and offered additional towels and cleaning if/when we wanted it. Bath was always warm and very relaxing, including an outdoor one.
Although the rooms were clean, the shared areas could have done with some additional cleaning - the sinks were not always clean (some hair/dirt), and there were sometimes holes in the bug netting. The trip listing is a little incorrect, as the ”run of house” listing is still only a room with a shared bathroom. The ”shared bathroom” also refers to a full shared onsen experience, with no private shower cubicles etc available. There was a kettle/fridge available, but it would've been nice to have some more kitchen items (plates, chopsticks) as well as a microwave available.

GGuest UserThe front desk was also great and I wanted to use it again. The TV is very big and I am very satisfied to see it with great power.
The location was good immediately from the station. There are many izakaya nearby, so you don't have to worry about rice shops.

KKokoniinaiThe environment is first-class, just by the sea, you can see the sea by the window, and you can see the sea from the bed. When you leave the store, you are the seaside, a very good beach. The owner is a grandmother who speaks too softly (you must pay attention to listening to it to hear clearly), and is very kind. The room has no bathroom and bathroom, which is very inconvenient. I brought my 70-year-old mother. The elderly have to go to the toilet at night and have to leave the room. It is very inconvenient, but although it is a public toilet, it is very clean. There is a wash basin in the room, but there is no hot water, which is very inconvenient. From the perspective of looking at the sea, the location of the hotel is really the best, but it is really inconvenient to experience that the room does not have a bathroom and bathroom. In the future, I will confirm three things in advance when I book a hotel: whether the room is equipped with a toilet and bathroom (the best bathroom and toilet are separate), whether the basin has hot water, and whether the WIFI is good. Because this trip to several hotels, I deeply confirm that these three items are very important.

MMilaoshushuThe boss is a Korean, very clean, always see him cleaning and shoes, there is a big dog in the house, the barking is quite big, a bit scary, you can order breakfast and dinner, all Korean cuisine, very delicious
GGuest UserThis is an excellent hotel! It's right in the city center, immediately next to a vibrant shopping street. For just 170 RMB, you get unlimited access to the bathrooms. There's a restaurant on the 6th floor that offers great value with generous portions. I can't quite recall if my dorm room was a 6-bed or 8-bed, but each bed was designed as a private space, not just standard bunk beds. It was very quiet at night, and the entire hotel consistently smells wonderful. Oh, and a crucial detail: the staff are all incredibly handsome!
GGuest UserVery good homestay, cost-effective and basic facilities. The owner is very enthusiastic and thoughtful. He gave a detailed introduction to the town’s attractions and recommended authentic restaurants. You can even add WeChat (and take the initiative to drive us to the station when you leave. Don’t mind staying) Many netizens at the hotel sincerely recommend this home.
