I booked the Fujisan view room and it is absolutely worth it. Amazing view from the room and their comforter is soooo fluffy. They provide yukata(?) toothbrush, water heater, and green tea in the room. They also have clothing iron if you need it. Only thing we wish they have is a mirror in the room but the toilet was near so I guess it is fine. The inn is right in front of Kawaguchiko station so its also very convenient. The receptionist lady also offer to help me call Yamato when I asked her about an issue I have with my luggage delivery which saved me a lot of headache. The public bath was amazing as you can have a view of Fujisan while bathing.
The room has a view of Mount Fuji. Luggage can be stored after check-out. There is a bus stop nearby, specifically Kawaguchiko Station, which is a 12-minute walk away.
Fujishan Station is a 5-minute walk away. It is convenient to travel. The page may not be clear enough about the facilities. When booking the room, it was considered a homestay because of the cheap price, but it was actually a business hotel. There was a separate bathroom in the room. The room was small, but the environment was clean and the price was very high. I only stayed for one night this time. Have the opportunity to stay again.
They provide good service and helpful when asking for direction to different destinations. The environment is clean and quiet. Best point is can see mountains Fuji from your balcony.
Overall, the services is good and recommend this hotel if you want to come to Mount Fuji.
Remember to bring your own breakfast as well.

My best stay in Japan. The scenery is amazing (all photos are within my room). The host is a pair of lovely couple, they offered us a ride to nearby event place in the evening. Food is great. Great hospitality. Good location, I took express bus from Hinaro (5 min walk away) to Tokyo next day morning. Please pay a visit if you travelling there!
A good ryokan with onsen. Good service, spacious room with traditional Japanese futoras instead of a bed, varied breakfast and excellent onsen - both public and private.
Of the minuses - location (50 minutes by bus from Kawaguchiko, which runs very rarely) and the lack of a cooler with cold/hot water (but this is more due to the traditional nature of the hotel).
It's a pity that we were unlucky with the weather - it rained both in the evening and in the morning, Fuji was not visible. Otherwise, everything is fine.
As soon as I entered the room, I felt like I was in the cartoon Doraemon. I could see Mount Fuji from the window. Next time I visit Mount Fuji, I will definitely book this B&B again. See you next time!
I stayed here for 2 nights with families. It’s a super clean place and friendly family owned business. Very helpful owner. Nice and warm with air conditioning in bedroom. They also had a wood fan heater at the entrance of front door. Love that one.
The bedroom space just good for us. Will definitely recommend to friends.
I saw some comments saying that the hot water in the hotel's shower facilities was hot and cold. I think it's just that the temperature is not adjusted correctly. I also had the same problem, but only when the water volume was small. There was no problem when the water volume was large. The room is comfortable and retro in design. It has a vintage feel without feeling dilapidated. The room is well soundproofed. I stayed on the second floor with two families of about four to five children and it didn't feel noisy. Recommend everyone to stay.
Very Good

Great
PPpemikaI arrived late at night from Fuji Station and had to pay 3,700 yen for a taxi. I was surprised when I got there because the house was located on a hill and the road was very dark. I asked the taxi driver to wait while I walked down to check. Luckily, the lights were on and I found the host waiting to welcome us warmly, even though it was already late.
Owner had already prepared hot water and asked what time we would like to take a bath. She even guided us to a small onsen. The host was very attentive and kind.
Although the place looked a bit scary at night from the outside, the inside was very warm and cozy. When I woke up the next morning, I felt completely rested. The room was clean, and the host’s hospitality made the whole experience feel so worthwhile. I felt like the money I spent was totally worth it—it gave me not only comfort but also beautiful memories.
The atmosphere was like staying in a countryside vacation home—quiet, peaceful, and heartwarming.
If you’re planning to rent a car, this is definitely a place I’d recommend. There’s a parking space, and it’s not crowded at all.
I truly want to recommend this place!
EEmmanuel chan 8One of the characteristics of a traditional hot spring hotel is that the shower time is from 4 to 9 o'clock. If you don't pay attention, it will be awkward.
Among other things, the food is quite good and relatively average, but it is more difficult to communicate.
The hotel is relatively remote and there is no shuttle, but it is probably one of the hotels closest to Lake Kawaguchi. You can walk to Lake Kawaguchi in 3 minutes. The scenery is beautiful and you can see Mount Fuji directly.

He has special red slippers, they are so special
There is a convenience store across the road, how convenient is it?
If you have a car, there will be no problem. If you don’t have a car, there will be some inconvenience.
WWorld_WandererNice little photo spots around inside hostel (heater nearby), experience corner allows you to try Kimono (free to try inside hostel, chargeable if you want to wear out), and do some little craft. They sell handmade stuff too.
There’s a normal kitchen table you can use, and little lockers (with key) if you want to deposit small items near the reception.
Washer and dryer are each available for use at a fixed charge (300 yen each, Jan 2025).
Japanese style bath house available.
Last photo shows the 5 steps to lay the bedding in the room. Decent space and aircon is warm enough for winter period; though there’s no floor heating, they have a table with cloth around that you can use to keep your feet warm.
Amenities is 4/5 because they don’t allow you to use the shower for free after check out, but they still allow the use of kitchen, and toilet after check out.
Luggage deposit before check in and after check out is free as of Jan 2025.

BbazingaaheySo lucky to have booked this house! The house is right next to Lake Yamanaka, and you can see the lake through the window. The owner is super super super nice. She drove to the platform to pick us up and finally sent us to the station. The next morning, she got up early and drove us to the lake to watch the sunrise of Mount Fuji. She also found a good angle on the mountain to stop and let us take pictures. The aunt told us about the check-in spots around and lent us her bicycle to go around the lake, which made our experience full. Next time I go to Mount Fuji, I will book the aunt's hotel~ I will also recommend it to my friends who are going to Mount Fuji!

Everything here has been an amazing experience.
I’ve had the chance to meet many international friends,
exchanging and experiencing different cultures in our exploration of Japan.
The staff feel like brothers and sisters —
they help with everything, big or small.
It feels like we’re all living together as one big family.
Before 5 a.m., everyone wakes up to head out for the sunrise.
We go out to capture the sunrise over Mt. Fuji.
When we return, we share the highlights of our day.
This place is filled with the warmth of a real home.
Looking forward to coming back next time.
I’m the friend from Taiwan who shared some little things with you.
I hope you enjoy the small keychains that represent life in Taiwan.
Taiwan welcomes you!

GGuest UserA beautiful quaint guesthouse with a goat pet. Ben san and Kaori san were great host. I had dinner at the guest house which was beautifully presented. It was a 5 course italian theme meal with coffee. Thr gurst house is a littlr further from train station but pick up can be arranged. There were many restaurants within walking distance from the guest house. Several Walking and hiking trails are doable from guesthouse. The walls were not totally soundproof, but no issue in japan. My room had a sun roof which was great but it also woke me up with the sun light shinning through early morning. May not be a bad thing as it helped tp start the day early.
SSTReceived the instructions to check in days before our stay, and instructions are super clear.
The house is very clean, and comes with everything we need - stove, washer and other basics. Ground floor is the living hall and bathroom, upstairs there’s one bedroom and outer area where are floor bed are placed.
We went there with average temperature of 4 degrees so the floor were freezing cold and it took a while to activate the heat.
Location wise pretty good, right opposite there’s a 7-11, and down the street 10-15 mins walk there’s the Hikawa Clock Shop, but we don’t see any restaurant nearby maybe because we were there during New Year closure
