The hotel is centrally located to transportation, cafes, and tourist attractions. It is a 5 min walk from the convention center. There's a bus stop right next to the hotel and a metro station within a 10-15 min walk. Staff was helpful and polite. Breakfast was provided but was pretty average, it was only good on one out of the 4 days although the staff setting up breakfast was very hospitable and helpful. Housekeeping could've been better, they missed tending to our room on one of the days. Overall, the experience was very good and I'd recommend it to anyone traveling on a budget and looking for a centrally located hotel.
Hotel is at a generally good enough location. It is very near Van Ness-UDC line which connects us to the central of DC. Quiet place that suits what we need. A good rest. There isn’t much amenities in the hotel but good enough.

The room is spacious, the bedding is comfortable, and the toiletries are good. The breakfast is a little simple, but coffee and tea are provided for free in the lobby. It is convenient to travel to various attractions. If you go to see the cherry blossoms, it is a worthwhile trip.
This hotel is simply fantastic. The description is not too much, booked for a twin room. We needed to stay in Washington for one more night due to insufficient time. We booked a hotel temporarily. The price of a night stay in the hotel was too expensive, and we didn't want to be too far away from the Union station. After the hotel was moved here, the little black brother at the front desk gave check-in directly, very surprised, and gave them a big praise! There is a 24-hour free hot coffee on the first floor, there is a small snack bar, and the snack bar is also equipped with a microwave. The hotel is very clean, entered the room, bigger surprises, the beds are large, each single bed can sleep 2 people, the pillows are also prepared for the standard of 2 people per bed, everything in the bathroom is 4 For personal standard preparation, all toiletries are Neutrogena, and two sets are provided directly. The rooms have microwaves and refrigerators, and the beds are comfortable.
There is a free shuttle bus between the hotel and Union station, every 30 minutes, and the driver also told us that we can take a red circle auto at the station and said that as long as the fare is a knife, the route map of the car was returned, it was beautiful because we were yesterday Take 3 subways per person and 1 knife to get a bus card. After we got on the bus, because we put in coins and the banknotes couldn't get in, the driver took it in. When I got back, I was about to insert a coin. The driver simply blocked the coin slot and said no. Breakfast is okay, at least not worse than breakfast outside, and there are fruits, juices, eggs, toasts, which meet my needs for breakfast. This hotel is highly recommended, and it is highly recommended for anyone who comes to Washington for fun. If I come again, I will definitely book this hotel directly. It is really great. The waiter Xiao Hei also likes to communicate with you in Chinese. Oh yes, the hotel also has a swimming pool and gym, which is free for guests.
Facilities: There is no elevator, but it is a 2-story staircase. The guy at the front desk was very good and helped carry the luggage to the 2nd floor. In addition, the hotel does not have toiletries and slippers.
Hygienic: The room is still clean, but a bit old.
Environment: The hotel is located on the side of the road and there is car noise.
Service: Hotels in the United States have no service, even if they do not clean, they should keep them clean. Bath towels will be changed.
Great space and location. Friendly fellow travelers and Brew on U is an awesome cafe. For me, I only wish there was a larger common area but otherwise a great experience.

Fortunately, there is a supermarket nearby to buy food and eat easily. It is a little far from the city. There is a subway station about ten minutes walk.
Regarding the location, there is a place called Union Market nearby, and there are places where you can eat Asian cuisine, so it is recommended for lunch.
In addition, there are several restaurants, so I think it's good.
It is not too far from sightseeing spots, so it is recommended for those who value cost performance.
Overall, the hotel is good and not too far from the center. It's a bit complicated to get through metro but otherwise the service is warm and kind.

BBattleIvy City Hotel was very clean. Its right on a busy main road, but it is easily assessable, if that makes any sense. The room smelled like **** (its legal), but was easily covered up by a lit candle. It easy very calm all throughout the day/night , especially for DC and the characters that come and go. All in all, its a good place to lay your head when you stay.

AAnonymous UserThis youth hostel is very good. It is very close to the Capitol, the White House and other travel destinations. It takes 15-20 minutes to walk there. It is convenient to get in and out. The interior of the hostel is clean and tidy, and the hygienic conditions are good. If you want to go again in the future, you should still book here. Like 👍

GGuest UserAlthough you can book capsule rooms here, there are actually only open dormitories with bunk beds. The capsules are all in their U Street store. But after comparing the two stores, I still chose to stay here. This is their new store, clean and newly renovated, with a better location. Most importantly, there is a large kitchen and a hearty breakfast. The staff are also super cute and friendly. I spent 4 happy days here. I highly recommend it!
GGuest UserThe hotel location is very good, very quiet, there is a bus right outside, and it is not far to the main attractions such as the White House, which is very convenient. The facilities are very complete. Although it is very old-fashioned, I like a small public restaurant on the first floor. There are microwave ovens and coffee. The best thing is hot water. The owner is very nice, booked a double room for a twin room and slept comfortably. There is a small supermarket a few steps away, and some do not eat, which is indeed an economical choice.
GGuest UserIt's much better than I imagined when I booked it in China! It's very convenient to the White House, the Capitol, the Lincoln Memorial, the National Gallery, etc. You can walk there. The accommodation looks like a ”multi-person” bunk room, but it's actually very spacious and has no interference. There are many clean bathrooms! There is also a small kitchen. There is a large supermarket with abundant food just ten meters to the right. I can be sure that I will stay at Duo House again if I go to Washington in the future!
