The hotel is small but exquisite, and all aspects are good. It's a pity that Ctrip didn't book a room on the first floor facing the outside, otherwise the view would be better.
The service is warm, especially the young lady Gao Ye Zaoji, who seriously learned Chinese to communicate with us, and the children especially liked it!!!

This hotel is a small family-style hot spring hotel, which may not be too popular, so the price is very high. The location is on the edge of the famous Xiaoyong Garden, and it is very close to the hot spring park, VIP building and Yingbin building. The courtyard is exquisite, the environment is clean, the grandfather at the front desk is meticulous in working attitude, and the room is exactly the same as the picture. The only disadvantages are: first, the breakfast is too rude, and second, the private soup is a small closed indoor pool, meaningless, just go to the public. The public hot spring is outside. The day I went there was a heavy rain in Hakone. A hot spring, very romantic.

Ten-yu is amazing. We were impressed from the moment we stepped into the lobby. The kind staff allowed us an early check-in at 1 p.m. and arranged lounge services for our three-day, two-night stay. While the breakfast buffet was exceptional—an extensive spread paired with bubbles and wine—the Kaiseiki dinner was a bit disappointing in comparison. We were fortunate to experience a picturesque snowfall that transformed the hotel’s surroundings into a postcard-like scene, and since we drove, getting around was never an issue despite the snow. The staff were thoughtful throughout our stay. Highly recommended!

The hotel is divided into the main building and the new building. This time I stayed in the new building. When I checked in, the front desk lady gave a very detailed introduction, and even took out the hotel map to explain the location, including the restaurant location, dining time, dinner type, free services, etc.;
The hotel has a small shuttle bus at a fixed time to shuttle between the tram and the hotel, which can be taken if needed; the hotel's breakfast and dinner products are quite good, both are more traditional Japanese style, worth a try;
The overall environment is good. In addition to foreign tourists, there are also many Japanese locals staying. It is a relatively historical hotel, so it is inevitable that there will be a little smell when you just check in, but it will be fine after a while;
The surrounding transportation is basically only buses, and there are not many buses, so you need to wait. If you want to travel, you need to understand it in advance;
I went there at the end of November. The maple leaves are very beautiful, the weather is very suitable for hot springs, and the nearby art museum is also very good. It is a good choice.

I was really lucky that I asked for a room with Sun Yat-sen's inscription in the message to the hotel, and the hotel arranged it for us. If you don't mind retro hotels, you must go and experience it! The room is very spacious and the view is beautiful. There are Japanese and Western breakfasts to choose from, both are delicious. The Western breakfast is more Western than what we had in Canada. The only drawback is that it is a little cold in winter because the corridor of the room is too open. The hotel also has a small private hot spring open to guests, but you need to go to the front desk to get the key. Overall, the experience is very good and it is definitely worthy of the top 1 summary of two Canadian long-term residents who experienced various hotels in Japan for a week!

1. Convenient transportation: 4/5
By bus: get off in front of the 131 hotel, which is closer than the 130 Miyanoshita Onsen Station (the hotel is on a slope on the road, and there is a turn in front of the hotel to go uphill, so you don’t need to drag your luggage uphill at Miyanoshita Onsen Station)
By tram: get off at Miyanoshita OH54 and walk for 5 minutes, but the tram station is also on a slope above the road, so it’s a bit difficult to pull the suitcase
There are Lawson and 711 nearby, and it’s also very convenient to buy things
2. Hotel facilities: 4.5/5
Overall, it’s very good, and the amenities are all the standards of regular 5-star hotels, so I won’t say much. The furniture is American style and the design is very unique. If you have time at night, you can go to the hotel B1 History Museum to see the hotel’s history, including the hotel’s early development history, managers of successive generations, and the process of earthquake reconstruction, etc. The hotel should be the first hotel in Hakone to receive Western tourists. Many Western celebrities, politicians, and scientists have stayed in the hotel in history. The hotel itself is also a microcosm and witness of Japan’s history of opening up to the outside world.
3. Hot spring: On the top floor, the space is large and the facilities are good. Because we went there in winter, there were not many people, and it was basically a private hot spring. After playing all day, it was very comfortable to soak in a hot spring at night to relieve the cold and fatigue.
Overall: Choosing this hotel is definitely not only about the facilities and location, but also about its cultural atmosphere. The garden behind the hotel is very large, and it may be more beautiful in summer. Unfortunately, we went there in winter and the flowers were not in bloom. There is also a hiking trail to Mount Asama. If you have time, you can walk around more and feel the cultural atmosphere here

This room is really nice. I was traveling by car, and there were about ten parking spaces in front of the hotel. Let me first say that the room environment is clean and tidy. It is like a house with everything, kitchen utensils, and a very comfortable home feeling. There is also a bathroom and a sauna room. The overall environment is very good. There is also a barbecue grill on the balcony for barbecue! Everything is complete, but I will clean the utensils myself.
Next, what I don't like most about this hotel is the service. If you want to stay here, basically please prepare everything by yourself. Don't expect anyone or staff to serve you. There is a 24-hour screen for face-to-face video, but if you speak Mandarin, you really have to communicate endlessly. It's really hard to communicate unless they speak Mandarin, otherwise they mostly speak Japanese. Whether checking in or asking questions after check-in, you have to rely on the video call. Because I didn’t handle it before checking in, I didn’t expect it to be so troublesome. No one asked and they couldn't answer my question, so I asked customer service.
After you make a reservation, they will first send you an email to tell you the door code and room number. The most troublesome thing is to go to their check-in iPad at the door and fill in the information, so I suggest that it is best to receive their email before check-in and complete the check-in procedures online. After that, you can use the code they gave you to open the door when you go to the room. If you have any problems after checking in, it is actually very inconvenient. There is nothing nearby and it is deserted. If you don't drive yourself, I don't recommend it. Also, his check-out time was 10 o'clock. I was 15 to 20 minutes late, but his was about 10:10 to 15. He opened the door without ringing the doorbell or knocking on the door. Although I don't know if there was anyone inside, at least he knocked on the door. The worst situation was that I had just finished taking a shower and was wrapped in a towel. How embarrassing! I rushed into the bathroom immediately. Fortunately, I locked the door.
After that the hotel receptionist called us 5 minutes later to check on us and we told them we could check out in 10 minutes, which of course was no problem for them, but it was a bit scary.

1. The golf course is very beautiful, drive to see the trees on the mountain are lush emerald green, next time have time to go to experience playing golf, looked at the fees are not expensive, accommodation thousands of yen can experience hours, but recommended to stay more than two nights;
2. The hot spring is a bit small, the old is normal, maybe in the mountains, the hot spring is not the main facility;
3. The room looks out to the green golf course, dinner and breakfast is a Japanese traditional meal, the variety of dishes is relatively simple without any expensive ingredients, but the general Japanese traditional meal is like this;
4. After all, it is in the mountains, suitable for couples or a few friends to talk and relax, family customers especially have smaller children to choose carefully, because after driving up the mountain really will not go out to buy things, must bring everything necessities for children;
Summary: If you are not in a hurry to stay for two nights, if you are in a hurry to change hotels every day, you should not go up the mountain to stay. Although the stadium is beautiful, you will not have much time to go out and walk.

Chose this place for the private onsen and highly reviewed meals.
Meals are served in the central restaurant, will need to book meal timing for both breakfast and dinner as they serve over two rounds. Chose kaiseki dinner which felt like fine dining too.
The rooms are modern, with the private onsen on rustic balcony facing the forest. The hot onsen water runs continuously into the pool, which made me think it’s really from the mountains.
Do note the hotel is on the middle of a hill, so if driving, be prepared to drive along small windy roads to reach. When leaving, the hotel staff will even help to look out for oncoming cars and direct you to safely drive out of the hotel property onto the main road.

Outstanding
Xxy.fftThe service was really good, we had to drive from Tokyo so it took a while and we were kinda delayed by traffic for a bit due to it being one lane. Our hosts are really kind and help with parking our cars and bringing us our luggages. Although we thought it was advertised as a hotel, it's actually a ryokan. Really apologetic for the inconvenience from us during our stay there, we checked in late and even came back late during one of the night - resulting in us missing dinner service (they even set up and left some food for us). We also wanted to leave for the convenience store close to midnight, only to find out that the doors are all shut, we didn't want to make them do extra work so we went back to our rooms.
The rooms are great and the views are so beautiful, it's amazing to wake up to such greenery / mountain view. Breakfast and dinner service will be in the rooms and the staff will help us lay and keep our futons as well. I had the chance to soak in one of the private baths, it was really relaxing and nice, warms me right up since it was around 10 degrees in the autumn. Amenities provided are very adequate as well, even in the baths (public/private). Besides all that, there's a lounge area with massage chairs, it was the best thing ever, highly recommend to try it during your stay.
It's more convenient if you drive, there are convenience stores are few mins drive away. The entrance from the road is a really sharp bend so you need to take note in case you missed it. Plenty of parking space as well, wouldn't be a concern during your stay. Shoes are removed right at the lobby and kept by the staffs, very homely vibes.
Overall a pleasant stay with them and would love for more people to experience what I've experienced. Thank you to all staff and hosts who made it possible. If there's a chance, I'd love to visit again.

GGuest UserIt feels like a B&B hotel~ One-on-one communication and service~ After receiving one group of guests, they go to the next~ They are really attentive~ And because they are receiving a group~ So going to the hot spring becomes a private reservation~~ The quality of the hot spring is very good. It's effective even if it's too hot~ It's very effective in eliminating fatigue~ I feel like sleeping after soaking~ The supplies are also clean~ The room is spotless! The hospitality is attentive ~ the facilities look very new and not dilapidated ~ the food will be made with local specialty products ~ you can see many collections of the proprietress in the public area. A small surprise is that there is a massage chair that is really comfortable ~ there is a CD player next to it Listening to music while having a massage is really great! (In the public space on the 2nd floor)~Thank you to the male and female clerks and the boss for their hospitality and help with the suitcases~PS: The male clerk is very handsome~Because we stayed for 2 days, the contents and utensils used for breakfast were different on both days~The same is true for the small railway One of the features of the hotel ~ The hotel is next to the railway, but it is not very loud, a bit like ASMR ~ It is very close to the railway station ~ The transportation is also convenient ~ If you want to experience the intimacy of a B&B but also want the privacy of a hotel ~ you can go to this hotel ~ If there is a disadvantage, it means that each room cannot provide a separate bathroom (for brushing teeth, washing face, toilet, etc.) ~ but I personally feel that the impact is not big ~ because the public restroom is also very clean ~ it is cleaned every day ~ overall I like it This style of hotel ~ Please note that the hotel will lock the door at 11 o'clock ~ There are no places to eat nearby ~ If you go to other places to eat, it will end at 4:00 or 5 o'clock ~

吴吴During the holiday season, the price is a little expensive, but it is worth the money. This is a typical Japanese-style inn, with tatami and family hot spring rentals, which can only be reserved after check-in. Breakfast is a Japanese buffet, the type is OK, it is over at 9 o'clock, you need to go early.

GGregorio GastaldiA very pleasant visit to kind, simple and peaceful people. I like a lot the location of the homestay, out of the center, up hill, need to move your ass to reach it. The hottest onsen I’ve been haha but also the most comfy as it’s private. I miss Rum already, what a nice dog, same as all the staff. A really worthy stop in Hakone with local people who feel real in an area full of tourism. Thanks a lot for taking care of my bags after my check in, those gestures are the ones that really count!

GGuest UserThe location is very close to the big platform station, it is not easy to find on the small road, the interior style is very Japanese, and the receptionist is also very enthusiastic. There are two public baths and the house is a bit old.

黄黄The hotel is located just off the big platform, not far away, just follow the navigation for a while. A relatively cheap store, good value for money, the store does not have Chinese, but the body language is enough. It is convenient to go to the big platform station for breakfast. It is difficult to find the best breakfast at the hotel. There is a convenience store nearby.
