Fontes Episcopi es una casa de la infancia, una finca manejada por sus dueños, que la viven como un revivir de lo fundamental. En tiempos de lo ultra procesado, este lugar renueva la esperanza de un mundo mejor. Pájaros, atardeceres, jardines de hierbas, comidas sanadoras, y pasión por el pan. El lujo en Fontes es la esencia, el fondo, el contenido, no exactamente las formas. Es un lujo solo para entendidos. Camas confortables, ventanas abiertas y cortinas al viento, amaneceres con aroma a pan y café.. atardeceres con aroma a pizza. He descansado, reconectado con mis verdades, he sido un poco mas feliz en un lugar sin acartonamientos, donde, como decía, el tesoro es el contenido, el fondo y el alma. Opt to stay in the main house. The 4 higher priced bungalows are not worth the upgrade. The location is remote and without your own transportation, you have limited options for longer stays. The team was lovely and the food delicious so opt to stay for dinner at least one night of your trip. Take the garden tour or learn how to make homemade pasta while you are there.

What a perfect place amidst olive and orange groves! We were welcomed as an old friend at this family run ecofarm, a gorgeous, calming spot. The restored building is a work of art that you shouldn’t miss. From the kind and generous staff to the beautiful scents and sights, this is a place where you can truly relax after a day in Agrigento or a visit to the Temples. The authentic, homemade food was delicious and plentiful, the homemade soap and shampoo were a delightful touch, but the stars were the people who truly wanted us to have a special visit, which we did. Thank you all for your kindness!!

Fontes Episcopi is an amazing hotel!! Where to begin…this is a gorgeous inn a short distance from Agrigento. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable. The grounds are gorgeous. So many artistic touches create a special hotel. However, it is the people who really make this hotel outstanding. You feel like you are a guest in their home. Such warmth and care. And the meals!! Do not miss having dinner there. If I sound enthusiastic it is because of the whole experience. Our best in years of travel in Italy.

Loved the villa type atmosphere with a very home-y staff. Very family oriented and unique. B, L & D meals were all prepared by a family of cooks (“the Mamas”) and truly fabulous tasting.
Only spent 1 day there and wish we spent 2-3 days. A/C could have been colder as we were there during a 93F temps with very high humidity. But they have a pool in the back and a plunge pool in front. Great for a cigar outside at night. Would definitely go back and highly recommend this warm & friendly resort.

Fontes Episcopi was the best lodging experience of our 5 stop trip around Sicily. Let’s start with the service, which we’d give 6/5 stars if possible. Michele, Kata, Sara and the rest of the staff were incredibly welcoming, professional, friendly and helpful and went out of their way to make us feel at home. We even left behind some valuables in the safe and Michele shipped them to our final stop in time for us to take them home. The food was excellent, and we’re so happy we ate 5 of our 6 meals at the hotel. The grounds are beautiful and clean and the main house is filled with cool artwork and other items. The pool is beautiful, but could use a few more seats when the resort is full. We stayed in one of the newly built rooms that are standalone suites and they are perfectly appointed and comfortable with a private mini courtyard for a private sitting area. The location is an easy 20-min drive from the Valley of the Temples, a must-visit when in Sicily. Tips: Keep in mind you are staying among nature, so there are some critters here and there, with a couple of small/harmless bugs that we shooed out of the room.

Delightful countryside villa with an olive grove, home grown vegetables and wheat that they grind for flour. Very comfortable rooms. Homemade soaps. Very welcoming and helpful. Open kitchen so that you can see/help in cooking if you wish. Delicious breakfast buffet. Nice to be able to walk around the property, animal enclosure and farm. Another group was also visiting while we were there and had booked a cooking class led by their own US-based chef. I would not eat at his restaurant—his dinner was bad. But, given the superior breakfast made by the house chefs, I would certainly try to eat in-house in the future as long as I knew no visiting chefs would be involved. I would love to return—and to stay for more than one night. A great place to relax.

Wonderful stay in beautiful, peaceful setting. Very warm and helpful staff made us feel like family. Even helped out cooking in kitchen which is the focal point of the resort. Excellent food and accomodations. A great Sicilian experience!

We stayed here for two nights, It was a wonderful experience, We were recommended to stay at this hotel and really did not know what to expect. We were in Sicily for nine nights and this was one of the nicest, friendliest, and most comfortable, hotels during our vacation. The Staff went above and beyond to make you feel comfortable- We felt like it was our home. The grounds were beautiful and relaxing. We met the other guest at dinner, I think we all felt the same. Can not say enough about our time at Fontes Espicopi Thank you!!
