酒店位置很好，就在海邊，可以看到沖浪的人，也可以直接下海游泳，後院的泳池也很大，衹是設施比較舊了，工作人員在走廊大聲説話。

各方面都很好， 游泳池很大很乾凈

飯店位置不錯，房間寬敞，還送上水果，餐廳晚餐價位中等，可惜贈送每人10分鐘按摩，但只有一位按摩師，這點要改進，因為我們抵達當天大雨，戶外泳池都無法使用。

環境一流，是一個度假發呆的好地方，工作人員也特別友好熱情！我們是在加勒用打車軟件pick me打車過去的，後來又坐了公交車去美瑞莎，他們那邊的公交車，其實衹要不是上下班高峯期，條件也還過得去。比印度乾淨很多，説不定還會有驚喜

We had an amazing weekend getaway at Insight Resort! From the warm welcome to the complimentary items and one of the best head and shoulders massages we've ever had, everything was perfect. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful—special thanks to Kusal for the exceptional hospitality! The breakfast was delicious, and the entire stay exceeded our expectations. We truly enjoyed every moment and will definitely be coming back to enjoy this beautiful resort again!

Das Insight Resort in Ahangama habe ich im April 2023 auf booking entdeckt. Weil es mir so gut gefallen hatte, war ich wieder genau dort vom 10. bis 15. April 2025. Mit einer Freundin hatte ich ein DZ mit Meerblick und alles war einfach perfekt. Das Zimmer hat zwei Einzelbetten mit guten Matratzen und man bekommt täglich die Betten gemacht und neue Handtücher, wenn man das wünscht. Vom Balkon aus hat man einen tollen Blick aufs Meer. Das Frühstücksbuffet hat alles, was das Herz begehrt, kontinental und lokal. Der Poolbereich, den Gayan, der Poolboy, immer sauber und gepflegt hält und stets zur Seite steht, wenn man Polster für eine Liege und ein Handtuch braucht, ist wunderschön zum entspannen. Man kann herrlich am Pool liegen, keine nervige Musik, sondern dem Meeresrauschen lauschen, etwas zum Essen oder trinken bestellen oder aber einige wenige Schritte gehen und in den indischen Ozean springen. Rechts über einige Steine ist der bekannte Marshmellow Surf Spot, man kann sein eigenes Board in der riesigen, offenen Hotellobby lassen, oder sich ein Board rechts vom Hotel am Strand im Surfshack ausleihen. Das Hotel hat 53 Zimmer, wurde seit seiner Errichtung 1983 immer wieder erweitert und renoviert, um den Ansprüchen der internationalen Gäste zu entsprechen. Man hat hier Gäste aus Australien, Israel und Europa, aber auch Singhalesen aus Colombo. Da ich im April 2023 genau wie im April 2025 zu den Festlichkeiten des singhalesischen Neujahrs im Insight Resort war, haben wir ein unglaubliches Fest miterleben dürfen, welches das Hotel über zwei Tage organisiert. Es wird ein singhalesisches Dorf im schönen Garten errichtet (handgeflochtene Hütten), mit landestypischen Speisen und Getränken, Spiele werden organisiert, und ein ganz besonderes Abendbuffet angerichtet. Am zweiten Abend gab es traditionelle Tänze und Feuerspucker. Ausnahmslos alle, die im Hotel arbeiten sind extrem nett und hilfsbereit. Viele arbeiten seit Jahren dort, was für das Management spricht. Die Haupthalle erinnert an ein Hotel alten Stils, durch den die tropische Brise weht, und man kann mit einem kühlen Getränk die Hitze des Tages ausklingen lassen. Wenn man ein bisschen zu Fuß gehen möchte, kann man das ohne Bedenken auch nach Einbruch der Dunkelheit, nur auf den verrückten Verkehr achten. Aus dem Hotel raus rechts kommt nach 100m die kleine „Innenstadt“ Ahangamas, mit Supermarkt für Wasser und allem, was man braucht. Und Obststände (Papaya unbedingt mit Limettensaft essen) und natürlich findet man rechts an der Meeresseite schöne Cafés und Bars. Wer eine wunderbare Massage mit Öl haben möchte, bekommt auch die im Insight Hotel. Entspannung pur. Einmalig war auch, dass wir gerade geschlüpfte Meeresschildkröten ins Meer entlassen haben. Ich würde immer wieder das Insight Resort wählen.

Possibly the best place to stay in Ahangama. A completely secure property equipped with lifeguards by the pool and by the beach too. Clean, bright and well equipped bedrooms with A/C, WiFi hot water and good water pressure. Great breakfast buffet with a good selection of western and Sri Lankan fare. Excellent coffee! Possibly the best rice and curry, made to order. spice levels can be selected on request. Their western fare is good too. Super friendly staff, child friendly space and a spa run by a fantastic Balinese masseuse. High recommend a stay

The aurudu celebration was amazing 😍. Staff was very kind and caring. We were able to release baby turtles which was a fresh and new experience to enjoy doing so. The location of the hotel was marvelous to watch the sunset enjoying the sea breeze.

Right on the beach, lovely staff, delicious Sri Lanka meals. Compared to quarantine in Australia this place is paradise. Thanks everyone who made my stay so comfortable !!! The reservation desk was very quick and professional also to making the booking.

The Insight resort was my home for four weeks last month and I will never stay anywhere else when I'm on the south coast of Lanka! Everyone on the staff from the management, to front desk, to housekeeping, to gardeners, waitstaff, chefs and spa staff.... All of them are amazing. Incredibly accomodating and always happy to see you. The views are as good as you will find. If you are a surfer like me, this is heaven. Marshmallows is one of the best waves on the south coast and I could see it from my bed! It was so easy to grab a board and paddle out, come back in, have a coconut water at the neighboring roti shop and get on with my day. When I had ZOOM calls and other work it was also a great place to be. I highly highly recommend this wonderful resort. The value for your money is fabulous and there are many cool expat owned cafes and hangouts around too, like Cafe Ceylon, HariHari House, Ceylon Sliders, Cheeky Monkey and many more. Also right next door is T&S Family Restaurant as well as the Harding Boutique hotel, both of whom have awesome food. Or you can just enjoy the fare right in the Insight itself! Enjoy and say hi to the team there for me!
